The weather in Fresno county CA has been between 109 to 115 consistently 😮 so I had 4 tomato’s on one plant but each had black spot on them like a burn! But beautiful flavor😂 I have bees, wasps and golden moths all pollinating the flowers so I ty❤ for the info, I placed a white muslin cloth on cage for shader 🤞 next year I’ll try different variety that’s more heat tolerant since I moved from Wa state and wasn’t familiar with this heat! I love your videos/ I used coffee grounds around the soil as well and only fed them 2x in 6 months in clay and potting soil but they are 4 feet tall and green and flowering great!

That was very helpful Jag thanks . Your English is excellent and easy to understand , you must have been born or grew up in the West . With fertilizer I found that with Tomatoes use a nitrogen based fertilizer first one time only then use more phosphate based once the fruit is growing .

I knew it!! I KNEW it! When guiding ppl on their new gardening journeys, I OFTEN explain these five aspects of tomato plants that are NOT generally found in school, books, sponsored guru-wannabes & internet influencers, nor most other colonized “education”. I usually CLARIFY that I don’t know anything tho, to invite anyone who is sold on the gentrified mass information to continue believing whatever they’ve chosen to believe if they’d rather. ☕️😉 This list confirms several plant traits that I’ve been sharing with MyTribe, (As taught to Me from Goddess/Ancestors via My own personal experiences). You are well-informed and I appreciate you sharing your knowledge over the years. ✊🏽💜

Excellent video, I live in the Philippines, constant 25 to 32° so it's probably the heat. Out of about 20 plants I have one left with flowers and one tomato 🍓 but just starting off. I will tap the flowers as you said to stimulate them. 2 flowers dropped off today. It's in a shady area and in a good size pot so here's hoping a few more fruits will emerge.

Hi there. Also in the Philippines and am growing heirloom tomatoes Kratky style in five-gallon buckets. Flowers are also falling off even before wilting. I have a couple of tomatoes formed and all the rest are falling off EVEN THOUGH I FERTILIZED USING AN ELECTRIC TOOTHBRUSH. argh. Wala kaya talaga tayong pag-asa because of the humidity and heat? BTW tomaties need at least six hours of direct sunlight. Don't put them in the shade

I did not even know this was a thing! But even though I have been getting tomatoes, the flowers were doing this. And yes, it has been over 90F . But at the same time, it has been raining and cloudy more days of the week than sunny,while still being hot. So possibly doubly whammy. And oops! I have been fertilizing too.

The flowers on my tomato fall off when I try to polinate them....Also, the leaves toward the bottom keep turning yellow. I'm going to try a baking soda spray (2 Tbs per gallon) to see it that helps. We have heavy rain, again today, so I covered it with a brown leaf bag in order not to ....I have no idea. It should be one of the easier plants to grow. So far, the weather has not been really hot, it's planted in a pot, so when it rains it can run out. Maybe I need to let the soil dry out a little more before I water it. It does have one beautiful little green tomato on it, so that gives me hope. Last year I hand polinated tomatoes with a small, soft make-up brush. I'm open to any and all suggestions.

Where I live in Ottawa, Canada, we get many days of rain non-stop and very light sun -- we see them spray the skies as soon as the sun peeks through. With the rain, we often get high winds. It never use to be like this ... our province was called FoodLand Ontario. Now it's chem land Ontario and endless geoengineering to block the sun and cause excess rain.

This is excellent and just what I needed 👍. I'm in Bali (Tropical) new to gardening and always thought the strength of the sun to be a problem for all my annuals 🤔. This morning I placed a min/max thermometer where I'm growing my Tom's and already reading 46°C at 9:25. Have as you recommended placed shade material and hopefully this will help 🤔. Any chance you can do another short vid on chilli pepper or bell pepper growing. Thanks again 👍

If that flicking of the flower pollinates the tomato plant, will that same pollinating technique work with other nightshade plants? Such as peppers, eggplant, etc? Or any other non shade plants?
@Techknowverse2 жыл бұрын
It would probably work with self-pollenating plants. Also, when it is windy, that moves the plants and shakes the flowers. So a slight breeze is good.

I used liquid fert on my tomato plants that were planted in new garden soil. I cut it down to 5-5-5 but I think it was still too much because I gave ZERO tomatoes on 20 tomato plants. WHAT DO I DO THOUGH?! I haven’t given them fert for 2+ weeks.
