I love frozen pierogies as well. My favorite topping is cinnamon & sugar, just like cinnamon toast, with the pierogies a little bit crispy. All 5 of these recipes sound absolutely delicious. Thank you for sharing them.

One of the best things I’ve learned from this channel is the hummus. I roast some veggies doesn’t matter what kind I’ve tried a bunch. I use a store bought roasted garlic hummus with a little more garlic, salt ,pepper , lemon zest and juice. Smear it on a plate top the roasted veggies on top! So dang good!

I ate frozen perogies for the first time while watching this video after watching another video about how you can cook them in a minute with an instant pot. After that I fried them up with some onion like my mom used to do (with the real kind) and wow they taste just as good. Im definately going to do the balsamic vinegar one and finally use a bottle thats never seen any action.

One suggestion to all who use butter for oiling the pan. I have recently tried ghee (bought in Costco). It is clarified butter and it doesn't burn like real butter but still has the butter flavour. Healthier for that reason. I use ghee for all kinds of things now. I hardly ever use cooking oil any more. They use ghee in India all the time. I lived in India for a bit but never tried cooking with ghee there. Oh well, better late than never. :) Also, if you put ghee in your fridge, that big Costco tub will last you a year (unless you use it as often as I do). Then 6 months, in which case you don't even need to put it in the fridge.
@russhay422 Жыл бұрын
I boil them first. Then toss them in a mixture of garlic powder and nutritional yeast (and occasionally powdered Parmesan) before frying them in butter. Toppings include sour cream, cheddar, fermented sourkraut or shredded style kimchi, green onions, sriracha. I like to keep the toppings on the side until adding as I eat so the perogies stay crispy. Edit: some type of smoked meat is always welcome, whether it’s beef bacon, deli meat, brisket, hot dogs, salami, smoked turkey…. Always fried.

Really!? If you have a Polish or Ukrainian grocery store nearby you might find them there. They’re not too hard to make from scratch either, but it takes some time. A real labour of love! The frozen ones weren’t available in Scotland when I lived there either, so I did make a couple of batches to get my fix during those years! If you ever see them, I highly recommend picking some up! - Paula
