5 Recipes with Frozen Perogies! (Can frozen perogies be fancy?)
Hey! Thanks for joining me to talk about frozen perogies!
I love these doughy little things and I had so much fun doctoring them up today with 5 frozen perogy recipes!
1. Mushroom Peroganoff
(basically like beef stroganoff but instead of beef it's mushrooms and instead of noodles it's perogies!)
2. Balsamic and parmesan perogies
(my brother and I's trademark teenage dinner)
3. Perogy Parm
(y'know, saucy and cheesy like chicken parm)
4. Nacho-rogies
(Why haven't I been eating these my whole life?!)
5. Perogy poutine.
(obviously it was delicious)
Thanks for watching!
A little about me:

I love frozen pierogies as well. My favorite topping is cinnamon & sugar, just like cinnamon toast, with the pierogies a little bit crispy. All 5 of these recipes sound absolutely delicious. Thank you for sharing them.

Omgosh yum.. I'm Polish so I have my share of pierogi memories, some sweet and pan fried in butter, stuffed with plums, sugar and cinnamon then topped sour cream or savory such as cabbage and mushroom.

Oh my gosh, just found you!!!! In US and LOVE perogies!!!!!! I usually buy a box, boil them and eat the whole box! Can never wait long enough to crisp them up!!!! The balsamic ones sound to die for!!!!! I definitely am going to have to make those! Actually they ALL sound so good, I'll have to try them all i guess!!! And the statement of being a "real" cook describes you to a T!!! You seem to just try things that you like and obviously you have great taste!!!! You are a joy to watch!

One of the best things I’ve learned from this channel is the hummus. I roast some veggies doesn’t matter what kind I’ve tried a bunch. I use a store bought roasted garlic hummus with a little more garlic, salt ,pepper , lemon zest and juice. Smear it on a plate top the roasted veggies on top! So dang good!

I ate frozen perogies for the first time while watching this video after watching another video about how you can cook them in a minute with an instant pot. After that I fried them up with some onion like my mom used to do (with the real kind) and wow they taste just as good. Im definately going to do the balsamic vinegar one and finally use a bottle thats never seen any action.

I boil them first. Then toss them in a mixture of garlic powder and nutritional yeast (and occasionally powdered Parmesan) before frying them in butter. Toppings include sour cream, cheddar, fermented sourkraut or shredded style kimchi, green onions, sriracha. I like to keep the toppings on the side until adding as I eat so the perogies stay crispy. Edit: some type of smoked meat is always welcome, whether it’s beef bacon, deli meat, brisket, hot dogs, salami, smoked turkey…. Always fried.

One suggestion to all who use butter for oiling the pan. I have recently tried ghee (bought in Costco). It is clarified butter and it doesn't burn like real butter but still has the butter flavour. Healthier for that reason. I use ghee for all kinds of things now. I hardly ever use cooking oil any more. They use ghee in India all the time. I lived in India for a bit but never tried cooking with ghee there. Oh well, better late than never. :) Also, if you put ghee in your fridge, that big Costco tub will last you a year (unless you use it as often as I do). Then 6 months, in which case you don't even need to put it in the fridge.
