I have rosacea and used the otc lice treatment, Walgreens branded, with 0.5% ivermectin. Half the recommended dose of Soolantra, which is unaffordable. I had ocular rosacea too and by putting this on my eyelids, eyelashes and cheeks, after 2 weeks everything is back to normal. My skin barrier is back! I do some upkeep once or twice weekly. I have tried everything else including other prescriptions. Ivermectin is a lifesaver. For the first time in decades, no more eye drops to mask the redness and my face isn't beet red and bumpy anymore.

Azelaic acid is what worked for me. And I used prescription for years. One dermatologist, bless his heart, even prescribed me hydrocortizone, for the symptoms that were driving me crazy one summer. I was like, "nah, thank you". I looked for another dermatologist, this one ended up being my last doctor and also a cosmetic chemist. She referred me to this aesthetician to start with some serums for my condition instead of medication. The lower percentages solved the issue. It helped the bank too.

As you say, Azelaic acid serum was a game changer. Cleanser + serum + moisturizer at night. In the morning, just water + mineral sunscreen. After years suffering from ongoing daily flushing, I’ve finally found what works for me. Again as you said, I’m not even willing to try any other routine as I’m afraid it’ll just mess me up again. Definetely not a one size fits all; niacinamide only made it worse for me, for example.

Most products that have fragrance and essential oils are very irritating for sensitive skin with Rosacea. My skin care routine is simple - all fragrance free products that I've been using for years, keeps my skin happy 🥰 I use the Neutrogena Ultra creamy fragrance free cleanser, and the Vanicream Moisturizing Lotion and SPF 30. My laundry wash is fragrance free too. I use face cloths to dry my skin after washing - replace with clean ones often. Take care everyone 🌹

Your videos have really helped me to get my rosacea under control! I read that rosacea often has an onset in the 30s and onward, but I have had it nearly my whole life. Sadly, it went untreated for so long that so much damage had been done by the time I got educated about it. That said, now my skin is in the best shape of my life! Here is what I changed: -Removed fragranced products from skincare routine -Got prescription for Soolantra. This helped a bit but I already had a preponderance of telangiectasias that couldn’t be solved by this -Got a few treatments of pulsed dye laser. This removed some of the telangiectasias. I might consider more treatments in the future but I saw the biggest change from the first treatment. -Started using red light mask I already use azelaic acid and tretinoin in my skincare routine, but I think I will also add a product with tranexamic acid to see if it makes any further difference. Thanks Dr. Dray! My skin used to look bright red all the time. These days I get compliments and questions about my complexion! Never did I imagine people would ever think I had good skin lol.
