definitely consider your children. Dad called us 4 mos after my mom passed away to say he was getting married, (to someone we had never met - who he had only known 2 weeks) -and to let us know we didnt need to worry about coming to the wedding ceremony. Lets just say - my sister and I are really close right now.

I broke up with my boyfriend of 5 years because I brought up something I was unhappy about and he threatened to hit me. He never did this before and I was no longer interested. How would you deal with this one? My Dad hit my Mom so this is deal breaker for me. I am a widow and I never had any problems with my spouse like this . He was always supportive and gentle. My exes behavior just wasn't going to work out for me. He never apologized and he screamed at me for over 30 minutes during his tantrum. I took a year and 6 months off from dating to get over this. I need help with this.

As you are probably aware, June, I am not a therapist. But I am a big fan of therapists. I am really sorry that happened to you, and imagine you are very proud of yourself for walking away! 🤎🤎🤎 I believe a good counselor or therapist can help people to not attract what they saw growing up. I wish you peace and love in 2024.

This is a tough one, Lola. I think it’s probably a question better asked of a family counselor. I know it takes time for kids to realize that you are not just their parent, but also a human being and that you were a person before they were born. When they reach a certain age, they start to understand that you were not put on this earth purely to be their parent. You’re living your own life. If they don’t see that yet, you might need some help from a professional talking to them.

In a similar situation, but I would be the one screaming if they don't understand, depends on the age, though, but 18 and not understand that you are much more than a parent🤨☹️

That’s an older video. My new microphone is better, as nobody has ever complained about volume or reverb which is what I think is bothering you.

If your partner was a liar and a cheater with dark triad personality disorders you really can't say you share in the blame of the relationship/marriage failure. You were done from the beginning and there was no hope, no fixing that, so no blame far as i'm concerned. Just my opinion, you don't know unless you experience it.
