On the door knocking clip ..... the knock is clearly on a wood door, but when he opens the door, there's a heavy metal screen door. He locks the metal door, and again, we hear a knock on the wood door. Do not open the door!

Actually it was usually for disabled, people. It was thought that there was something wrong with the family if they had a child with anything "wrong." Autism, down syndrome, deformities... So they would be locked in that room sometimes for days or weeks. Anytime an outsider came into the house. It was a really horrible and sad thing and some people spent their whole lives in those rooms.
