It's not nerves. He can't hear himself. He reaches to adjust the in-ear about 20 times in the vid. I'm not even a fan and know next to nothing about 5SOS, but it's a great song and I'm always sad when I see an artist clearly struggling with their in-ear. That situation would also throw most people, so add in some nerves and panic.

Old post is old and I don't really know much about 5SOS, but he reaches to adjust his in-ear about 20 times throughout, usually when the vocals start to struggle. It's definitely a bit upsetting to see. I always feel bad any time I notice an artist struggle with that. Given how notoriously poor some studio setups are, I would not be surprised at all, though. He does well, given he's a rock vocalist who can't hear himself.
