The reason he draws the bow like that is because he's holding it perpendicular to his body, whereas in other games he holds it parallel. If you try and make the drawing motion yourself, you'll realize it's much easier to draw palm facing "out" from this position.

The notes on the Sanctum are positioned in a way that we can’t really tell if it’s Zelda's Lullaby or the Ballad of the Goddess. Both songs are basically the same, but backwards versions of each other. Both the first and second notes seem to be on the same line so it could be either one. I guess that’s intentional, but the whole design is actually the same one seen in the Gate of Time from Skyward Sword so it would make more sense for it to reference the song in that game.

I don't remember where it was, but I remember watching a video that talked about different ways to draw a bow. The one Link is using has several disadvantages, but it was used at times because you can fire faster using that method. This is actually a very good question, the distinct lack of emeralds is surprising, we have Ruby - Goron Zora - Sapphire Topaz - Gerudo? Luminous - Zonai Opal - Rito Amber - that one blade of grass near death mountain. Diamond - Hylian Emerald would fit koroks of course but where does Amber actually go? Shiekah?
@mrlborges3 жыл бұрын
@@acamera367 never thought about the stones being connect to each race, besides the obvious ones (ruby, sapphire and emerald). I always imagined the Zonai are connected to the Deku Tree and the koroks in some way. The swirl of the Zonai reminds me of the Koriki emblem, something that weirdly I have heard a lot of people talk about. Plus the region they’ve supposedly lived is in the Faron province where the Kokiri Forest could’ve been based on the geography of Hyrule during Ocarina of Time.

@@mrlborges huh, that's absolutely true actually, admittedly I think amethyst could be a safe inclusion for a sheikah gem but.. we never really saw any super important Amethyst. Interesting bit of info on the bow draw. It is a style of drawing a bow called the palm-out draw. Alot of competitive compound bow shooters draw this way. Another reason to use this draw style is if your using a left handed bow in your right hand, and as we all know link is left handed in most of the games. This might be a little reference to that. So maybe all the bows you find in game are left handed bows and he is having to compensate for that.

@thomas_threat4 жыл бұрын
an easy answer to the bow draw issue: in popular archery formed through media, you mostly see the arrow nocked in an interesting fashion, this being on the inside of the bow wrist. the reason this is weird is because doing so would require the archer to release grip of the arrow and turn their wrist in order to draw the bow, thus increasing the time to effectively fire. two solutions to this are to either nock the arrow on the outside of the bow, as we see link do in oot, which can have some accuracy issues but was historically used as a common draw. the other solution is to nock the arrow in an overhand grip, as you see link do in botw. while it does put unnecessary strain on the shoulder, it is quite effective as a quick draw technique and you dont really tend to see a decrease in power or accuracy. with modern bows, we see arrow rests (a cut in the middle of the bow to allow the arrow to rest in the exact center on both the x and y axis) implimented to prevent this issue entirely. source: archery practitioner for 20 years.

Zelda’s lullabye is also integrated into a portion of the music in the castle! Personally, that really made me smile when I first heard those few notes. Also the closest to the Kokiri symbol I’ve seen is on the 7 heroines! One of their symbols looks like a comma. I don’t think it’s connected tho as their symbols mostly look like math symbols or punctuation marks.

YES! I noticed that :)

It's quite common for some Archers to shoot with the palm facing outwards; it's supposed to help slightly with AIM when you draw back the bow. So it's pretty cool to see that. Not all Archers shoot like this though, just personal preference. :)

That bow draw is *uncommon* but it *is not a mistake*. It's usually used to draw the arrow closer to the eye.

Aren't some of those Korok cube puzzles adorned with spirals? The Koroks are the descendents of the Kokiri, that's where their symbol is represented

I guess it's also represented in their Forest Dweller weapons set, specially the shield, just like it happens with most of the other weapons and their races

did people actually not notice the way that link draws the bow in the game? I noticed the first time I was playing the game and just though he held it weird for no real reason.

I've noticed Link drawing with his palm facing outward, but I've also seen characters in movies do that too (Legolas, for example). I assumed it was a cultural/military thing. What's weirder to me (and I'm surprised there wasn't a mention of this in the video) is that he appears to hook all 4 of his fingers around the string instead of only 3.

@@HyruleGamer - okay, i think you need to go on record as to blowing this whole "Link is drawing his bow wrong!!!" thing because look at all the people you have misinformed and are nowmaking comments about how they never noticed how bad it is. Please retract. I don't think I can go down the entire comment section and correct everyone on their now warped view on the field archery draw.
