You can almost see past Kieran grating against Draytons effortlessness in being champion, while he was a pushover untill he snapped and ground his way to the top. But Drayton barely changes after his defeat, still living his best life while Keiran now has all this negative energy with nowhere to put it - It's like getting everything you wish for then realising it didnt matter in the end and nothing really has changed (hammerd home again by losing to the MC). It's almost a crime Keiran is a DLC character with limited time and not in a full main game, wonderful rival, wonderful (if a bit brief) arc

If you look at Kieran's dorm room, there are sketches of how to beat 4 pokemon on his wall. 2 of them are Archaludon and Flygon. Guess who owns both?

6:01 I think Drayton was trying to get us to be involved with the Elite 4 Trials which is why he points it out as a "date". He has an interest in us for sure, but he mostly wanted to use us to get to Kieran, which was seen at the end when we beat him. He even apologies time and time again whenever he brings it up.

In my perception, while I was playing trough teal mask and indigo disk, it really felt like Kieran was the one with the crush on Main Character. So I rolled with it, Kieran is my Pokemon Boyfriend, and we're going to grow old and strong together. Mind you, that might be just because of the age diffrence, Kieran and Main Character look to be between 10 and 12 years old, while Carmine looks more 15 to 17. Plus it really feel like their grand parents pushed this '' oh look at my grand son's girlfriend '' scenario.

The French version refers to Kieran as a "14 year old" and supposedly the little girl in the Paldea elite 4 is 9 y.o. so I would say that it does make sense that Kieran is a teenager

Damn Kieran is my boyfriend too, like the first moment when we actually met up at school cafeteria I already smelt that there’s another feeling of him towards me. I GOT SO EXCITED AND AT THE END THEY ACTUALLY CONFIRMED HE LOVES ME!!! 😔 I'm just so happy to reset to get him in the club room so I can run around him. Wish they could add more dialogues and actions for both of us tho.

A small detail I liked is you can see Kieran’s leg shaking when you first get to BBA. I thought he was possessed but it could be because of his anxiety.

I think it’s because he’s not getting enough sleep, which I think Carmine mentions in game. My leg used to shake like that randomly when I was particularly sleep deprived (which was basically my entire childhood bc of undiagnosed depression), but it went away completely when I started getting a normal amount of sleep.

Don't forget that Kieran has a crush on the player character! He is trading us an Applin, which we learn in Galar is basically a confession of love. 🍎

Yup yup! I made this video before we had the ability to trade with Kieran, but now that we know this, he almost certainly has a crush on the player character.

Interesting. But one thing to consider with the Drayton Kieran thing is that we know from the player characters bbe4 challenge that the way the system works is not, you beat a member and take their sport. Once you beat everyone then beat the champion you take the spot of champion, the champion becomes the fourth in the b e4, the fourth becomes the third, the third becomes the second, second becomes the first and the first loses this ranking. We know this because it was discussed how Crispin would loose his spot and access to his battle ground (if Kieran hadn’t decided to step down) So Kieran would have needed to loose himself via the rules and it would have needed to be 4 times to finally get to Drayton All a technicality though 😅

This is what I thought also tbh. While it is an interesting concept, I don't think Kieran would be too focus on down-ranking Drayton and less at the cost of the other elite members, specially Amarys who is friends with his sister and him. In the end, I feel Kieran's real goal was defeating the protagonist of the story- because they encompass everything he wanted to be. But learned that he doesn't need to be the protagonist and that the role itself has its own "weights" that are not for everyone.

Finding the pictures of Carmines family is a cool find! It would be cool if we learn of a relative of theirs in another game. Wow, I have no idea how I missed Kieran using the club member to try to take our Drayton. But Drayton is the highest of the E4, no? So even if he lost he wouldn’t be out. But losing to this random person would probably be hard for Drayton. I totally agree that Drayton and Carmine don’t actually have a crush on each other. I could more so see Drayton liking the player character. I think Carmine (and Kieran too tbh) is maybe jealous that Drayton is so effortlessly strong. Where they might have to put more effort into it

Yo not gonna like but Amary and Kieran would make the best and dangerous power couple. Image having to fight both of them at the same time. Her Pokemon prevailed the defense and protection while his mons did all the attacking and hard-hitting.

Makes sense to me that Drayden and Clay, the oldest Gym Leaders, are the only confirmed parents. Be easier to keep the timeline short if their relatives were already born before BlackWhite and so make a future Unova title easier to integrate with Paldea’s additions. I would agree Lenora is likely next to add another kid, given she had stepped down in BW2

But Kieran was already the Champion when we got to BBA what is the point of making a 6 team to bet Drayton when its already been done? If anything he was getting students to beat Drayton due to the rule that if a new member of the E4 joins the weakest member ( One who has the most loses) has to leave. Crispin was worried that he would be pushed out after we won against Kieran, but Kieran withdrew from the E4 at the end of the DLC. So here if more trainers beat Drayton then he would become the weakest member with the most losses and the spots would be filled up with Trainers Kieran has control over that are strong enough to keep others out but not strong enough to turn on him
