Yeah, Super-Friends would be great, but there might be a rights issue, as it's currently airing on MAX , so they may not be able to get that show. Warner Bros/Discovery owns most if not all of the Hanna-Barbera library, but they don't even have Super-Friends on their cartoon networks, Cartoon Network and Boomerang, only on MAX. But, a lot of Hanna-Barbera shows are on MeTV Toons' initial line-up, so maybe there's hope down the road. My guess is that they're limiting who can air DC-based cartoons for now. Here's hoping that changes, because everyone doesn't have MAX and MeTV Toons is OTA/free.

The Superfriends, Laff a lympics, and Captain Caveman aren't part of the schedule yet either. Wally Gator, Touche Turtle, Yogi's treasure Hunt, Richie Rich, Pac-Man, Little Rascals, Globe Trotters, Shirt Tales, Monchichi's, Scooby and Scrappy Doo, Dynomutt, Clue Club, Dastardly and Muttley, are all shows that aren't on the schedule just yet. But eventually, they will make the schedule and I'm sure they will rotate programming regularly, becuase they will have access to all Warner Bors, Hanna Barbera, Universal, and probably all Filmation (because the Filmation Library was recently acquired by Universal) cartoons.

I think the schedule of this channel should include all of the cartoons made in the time of the beginning of cartoons to the latest 2000's. And that each each day of the week is a day that has one of the seven or so known genres of the cartoons, such as horror Saturday and spy/mystery Tuesday. Filmation is kinda tricky. Currently Universal owns the rights to most of the Filmation library with some exceptions: Star Trek: The Animated Series (Paramount) and Shazam & The New Adventures of Gilligan (Warner Bros/Discovery). There are more exceptions, I'm sure, but those are ones I've read about. I wonder if Universal has any current plans for the Filmation stuff that they control? Doesn't seem like any of those are on Peacock...

@@thevirginian5746 well I keep hearing rumors that there's going to be a new He-Man movie coming out but like I told other people that's all the more reason why it's actually to their benefit to lease out the older cartoons to somebody like me TV toons because right now yeah sure they could put it on peacock but peacock and Paramount plus are both streaming services who's long-term existence is still to be seen and it's actually would make a whole lot more sense to make a quick Buck by leasing out filmation cartoons that they're not currently doing anything with and well! It's filmation. It has the whole well it's rather goofy written but it's also very nostalgic. Will peacock isn't exactly a service that's about nostalgia. MeTV toons it's all about nostalgia. And leasing something out they don't actually have to do much with it just simply yeah maybe find what's sitting in a vault and then sit back and wait for the payday.

Hanna-Barbera signed television deals for two very popular ones-the Langlois Filmusic library, “composed” by Jack Shaindlin, and the Capitol Hi-Q library, created in 1956 from the works of numerous composers, but updated by Capitol record every year. Ruff and Reddy cartoons used these libraries. So did three of the four seasons of The Huckleberry Hound Show and two of the three seasons of The Quick Draw McGraw Show. (Afterwards, Hoyt Curtin was hired by Hanna-Barbera to compose cartoon cues that belonged to the studio). studio). When the Huckleberry Hound DVD was released in 2005, Capitol still had rights to the stock music and a deal was struck to clear it for home video use. That soon changed. The music, as Earl explained, had reverted to the composers or their heirs, and trying to get it approved for DVD was thwarted by demands from two estates. He rather forlornly expressed the feeling the odds were against Quick Draw cartoons-at least the the ones with the Shaindlin and Capitol music-ever being released on home video.

Dad thought it was educational to erase hours of Saturday Morning cartoons my sister, brother and I got up every weekend to record on old VHS, covering them over with pro wrestling. Assured us we would thank him as adults, since animation is ONLY for children. Glad SO MANY mature people disagree.
