Looking at your picture from a distance helps to see if it's finished. Also if it's not a person or animal, rotating it by 90 or 180 degrees helps you see it better too.

I always take a photo when I ‘think’ I’m done…..9 times out of 10 I will need to tweak it. Thanks Kirsty , always great advice from you x

I’ve been an artist for over 4 years, now. And a young realistic artist for 2 years. I’m still in my teens, but I’m still learning more tips and art styles. Anyways, I’ve recently stop because of “artist block” and I feel like I need some inspiration. Love all those who wants to see the journey of art as a life lesson. 😊

Hi Kirsty Nice to see that you have uploaded a new video. You, Devon Rodriguez and some some other artists who draw 3 D optical illusions are my favourite artists I follow on youtube. Have you ever tried drawing on thin cardboard instead on paper? I have drawn 48 pictures on thin cardboard (40 cm x 60 cm). You should try it out. I think its even better than drawing on thick paper. It's really worth trying out. Bellieve me. Greetings from Germany

Hi Kirsty! I’ve been drawing realism for about 3 years now and you have really supported me in my journey of learning it. Unfortunately, there’s something I’ve been struggling with and I can’t seem to find any information or video about it. Yep i finished a drawing and i thought maybe i should make a bit darker because you said in one of your vedios that many artists are afraid to go darker or something and this make thier drawing flat
