I grew up Southern Baptist, so I didn't know anything about Lent until I was an adult. I am now Methodist, and we do Lent. Our church celebrated Shrove Tuesday (Mardi Gras) with a pancake supper and ice cream bar. This year I"m giving up orange soda.

I don't participate in lent, but I loved when McDonald's would do the "Two for two" on the filet of fish sandwiches this time of year lol. Like most people, this was the only time of the year I would eat them.
