I’m a white person that works in a very Mexican neighborhood taking care of patients with kidney failure and I want to be able to dance with the abuelitas when they do so I’m trying to learn about Mexican music and stuff so thanks for these videos 🥹

What's very bad when people have a Mexican theme party but play Cuban music ?
@gamerguy2473653 ай бұрын
I've been diving into the complex world of Latin music genres... there's a lot to try and differentiate but I'n enjoying the process. Hopefully I'll get Atleast a small grasp on some basic stuff so I know a song that my mind would just default to being mariachi is actually rather nuanced and unique

I *KNEW* it was polka-influenced. Growing up, there was an apartment complex near my house that *ALWAYS PLAYED NORTEñAS MUSIC IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT WHEN I WAS TRYING TO SLEEP* and now it causes an *UNFATHOMABLE **_RAGE_** IN ME* _WHENEVER I HEAR IT._ A few months back, some MORON was playing *THE SAME MUSIC I **_MOVED AWAY FROM_** IN MY **_NEW_** NEIGHBORHOOD,* and it was like *FIVE BLOCKS AWAY AT LEAST!* Reported the #$%ers to the cops, too, screw 'em. I was ready to commit *war crimes* (for legal reasons, that's a _joke_ ). I don't mean to yuck anyone's yums, but...just...turn down your *EFFING MUSIC AT NIGHT, FFS!!* Mariachi and cumbia are nice, though. 😊 P.S. Thanks for giving me a name to slap on the *musical bane of my existence.* I kept calling it "Mexican polka" b/c that's the best way I could describe it. I hate polka, too, btw, lol.

Would you consider Vincente Fernandez just mariachi or ranchera music?
@EddieG3 ай бұрын
Vicente sang Rancheras (referring to the theme of the music)…often backed up with a mariachi (the ensemble). They’re often used synonymously, but there are performers who sing rancheras without a mariachi, just a guitar.

mariachi is 🚮🚮🚮!! its literally mexican elitist music.

Huge difference is an over statement, music is subjective i will state that first, but man is this music annoying especially when its being played and howled at all hours of the night with no regards for neighbors. It all sounds the same like bad circus music. There is hardly any distinctive difference it all bleeds together and i have no idea when one song ends and the other begins. And don’t claim Texas as part of Mexico either lol

Funny thing is Banda and Norteño music comes from the German settlers prior to the Texas revolution that brought Germanic folk music, it’s almost the exact same. They also brought the first beer to Mexico, which is why Mexican beers like Modelo, Dos, and Tecate taste like German beer

And of course there is that "irrelevant" type of music from Veracruz, from where songs like "El Cascabel" have come out of!! And their dress is totally different from all the groups listed here, but that is because it's the southern part of the country. Maya music is also very nice.

No mmn.
