When I was about 17, my buddies and I got caught spray painting rocks at our local boat launch. We didn't get into too much trouble, but it was enough. I never went out trying to leave my mark. I'm 36 now, and I've always been sketching or developing my tag over the years but never got up the courage to throw paint again. I think about doing it no matter how late to the game I am.

Well, I have gathered quite some knowledge over the past 1+1/2 years since I first really got into graffiti and have made some improvements to my style. But looking at my current pieces (only ~5 in total so far), I definitely lack the training. Which mostly comes down to three reasons: money, time and opportunities to paint. There also really aren’t any stores around that have good spray paint, it’s either just rubbish or totally overpriced. But yeah, time will change things… Great video as always, keep going 👍

Although style-wise you made good points .. which only covers 2% of toy criteria , other factors such as not snitching , handling beef on spots , not putting your crew in unnecessary beef , Respecting elders + inexperienced writers , understanding Placement , Not burning spots ( keeping yards clean ) , learning when to Retaliate , Not knowing your cities history & more . I don't intend this to diss you because I think you're actually giving more positive advice than most graff channels 💯 Keep up the Good work

Hey Youfo sorry I am late to the discussion, but I need some advice. I write/slap Mek5 (I am hoping that tag isn't taken, I have already put alot of effort into it.) recently my slaps have been slightly ripped off I believe this is beef but I don't know who has done it in my neighbourhood also I saw a Mek tag on a electricity pole that wasn't by me not sure to change names because I don't wanna get mixed up with that person or another writer writing Merke the only problem about changing tags is that I have written on most of my slaps that I am yet to put up on and it is difficult and rare for me to find slaps. Not sure what to do?

Doesn't really mean anything anymore. In some areas long time ago it meant claiming the tag as your own, but there have been other uses. Today it's mostly just filler. Like s, r, z, e, oe, es, er, ez, etc. Say xav could be written as xaver, xavs, xavio, xavo, xavez, xavski, xavone, xavoner, xav1 etc.
