My mom just got me a humidifier and it's helping me a lot . I've just had it for a day and I'm not as eager to clear my throat. I mean I do but it's not as bad . I also had a dry cough where I would get a tickle in my throat and that's not as bad

Tonight I realized I was filling my fish tank more often then normal and it dawned on me that we hadn’t started using the humidifier this year….like you said in the video it will pull the moisture literally from anywhere. It’s on now :)

I have always had tile or Lenolium or carpet in my houses or apartments, never had an issue of dry throat cough or nose bleeds, as soon as i moved into a house that had real wood floors my goodness i have all thy above i have to set the humidity to about 45% and have a small humidifier in my room set at 38% i think the wood floors are the biggest issue!

Which do I need I have clogged ears and post nasal drip . I hack alot and trying to see what I can buy one doctor said I have rhinitis which is basically hayfever i believe. I have a humidifier but not sure if that's what I need. Especially since I'm in Missouri and its very humid as it . Any suggestions? My nose used to be alot worse but neti pots saline rinse has helped me a lot over time but looking for something for my whole house that will benefit me. In my case would a air purifier be my best bet?

If you’ve never used an air filter these are great. kzbin.infoUgkx_dppjvjF8BYEmPSDTcgCUdRsgWYLXNHN I ended up with three after starting out with one. The noise level depends on the 1-3 settings with how hard you want the machine to work. You can also upgrade the filters and get one better for pet hair and smells which is a must have in my home. I noticed the air seemed lighter and easier to breathe when running the machine for the first time. Works great every time. Highly recommended!

According to my digital hygrometer my bedroom humidity is at 37-38% RH. Supposedly this is within the recommended range of 30-50% but I'm still wondering if I could benefit from a humidifier, by raising it 10%. I generally struggle with a stuffed nose when lying down, and not sure whether going from 37% to lets say 45% is worth the investment. If I'll even notice any difference. Any advice?
@johnnyboy13642 Жыл бұрын
Just wanted to say that I as soon as the furnace came on this year, I've started developing a dry cough, constant congestion and post nasal drip. The RH is at 39-40% for me, which seems normal, but I have a theory. I grew up in a coastal town spending 30 years of my life there. The weather there was pretty good, with mild winters so no need for much heating. Windows were open a lot and while I never checked indoor humidity, I know outside was almost always 90-95% all year round. Perhaps it depends on how our bodies grew up. Right now I am feeling miserable, but I am going to adjust the humidifier and put it to 50%. I wonder if our bodies just require more humidity because that's how they developed, in a more "humid" area. Doesn't have to be near the ocean, but just in general a high humidity upbringing may have physically made our bodies "develop" around that way as we grew.

My baby hast he same symptoms and can this dray air occur due to AC as well? During summer here in Dubai we all use AC all the time.
@welcometowellness5112 жыл бұрын
I am sorry to hear your baby has these symptoms. You would need to check the indoor humidity level, to see what it is. A healthy indoor humidity level is 30% to 50% humidity.

Opening windows and doors and using fans are enough for me. In the summer it gets around 90 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

I’m very allergic to cold air directly on me but here in Dubai, it’s very hot/warm so we always have the AC on making the air very dry. I also always get clogged nose & sore throat everytime. What why of humidifier do I need?

I have the crane drop 4 humidifier and still wake up congested every morning. Which one is the best option?
@goran1986m10 ай бұрын
Could be histamine build up... I have the same problem. Some foods have a lot of histamine and you should i avoid them. Try to avoid high histamine foods and continue to use the humidifier over night...also try antihistamines for few days just to see if you feel better. Let me know if it helped you !

I leave my window open, a fan on and have a humidifier. The air in my house is still dry. I also have gas heat so that probably doesn’t help.
@safwanislam9328 Жыл бұрын
You can't keep the window opne, when your running a humidifire, the window has to be clossed, and after turning on the humidifire you have to wait at lease 1 hour, to actualy start working
