Do a light spray of water or waterless wash on the pad. Apply the compound and you should be good to go. California is a lot drier than Florida. This little trick also works on corvette paint. Go slow and you can't mess up.

Once you use the water, spark remover, go over it something else to get rid of the residue, because water spot remover is light acid, and if it sits on there too long, it could potentially not be good for the paint or gel coated surface.

I charge $45 a ft. Think it came toabout $1000 for this job. Took me about 7 hours or so, I should have charged a-little more, but I was also doing his other boat and truck so he got a deal.
