I'm 70, given a pair of sticks by a parkour partner in 2012, never used them, recovered from cancer last year, skinny and out of muscle, at the 7 minute mark in this tutorial and needed to rest. Make me strong, keep me active doing something that is fun, outside, and not in a gym. Dang, I am in for the haul. Pleased to be a subscriber.

I used to practice with wooden bokken swords for a few years now. And while I was laying in bed last night watching KZbin videos. I accidentally stumbled upon one of your double stick drill videos. And I instantly became interested. I saved several of your kali stick drill videos to a play list. So I can rewatch them several times. And I also ordered my first set of kali sticks last night after watching your videos. I should be getting my new sticks next week sometime. I even saved some of your staff drill videos. And eventually I'll be ordering a staff that unscrews and disconnect in the middle. So I can use it to practice both staff moves and Kali stick moves with one weapon. And eventually when I'm able to I'm going to purchase your kali stick drill video downloads parts 1 and 2. Thank you for making these self defense videos. And please keep them coming.

Paul, many thanks for another one of your excellent and informative videos. There are many unqualified so called instructors on You Tube right now who are incorrectly teaching the martial arts disciplines to the masses. It is really wonderful to have The Kali Center. Paul, I really enjoy practicing Kali and how you are able to logically integrate the didactical teachings of Kali as you parallel those teachings with the clinical aspect thru " Drills / Hand to Hand Combat / Weapons Training " in a real time scenario of workouts that you instill in me. Paul, please keep them coming along.

Most excited. 61 year old guy with bad joints, but hey, motion is lotion; I need to keep the body flowing and the Kali is going to work for me. Always been fun for many years, but need to flow into other patterns. Thanks. Will be lurking. Respect!!

I remember the first time i experienced the elusive mystical CHI flow that Chinese martial artist talk about so much but FMA rarely mention i was practicing my drills once treating on the fluidity of each strike for the space of a half hour when suddenly things seemed to slow down. even though I knew I was moving at full speed it seemed like I was moving through water. Each combination was flowing smooth and effortless I didn't have to THINK about the combinations they were just THERE!

Paul is awesome! I'm sure he has trained women, but if you don't wanna go full depth with it yet, you can still use any of the content and drills he has on here. They've been wondering for my training for the past few years and I finally started going full boar with it like two months ago. I try to train every other day at least. I try to mix it up with some boxing and kick boxing stuff on my off day. But this is great even for empty hands and there are several kicks that I've never even heard of until I started following this channel.

Do you have another video where you go slow and break it down? I was okay on the 1,2,3,4, but after that I couldn't figure out those twirls. I really want to get good at this. I'm 69 and this is a good way for an old Martial Artist to stay in shape. I also need a cane occasionally so I could adapt it to that.
