5 SKYRIM MODS TO LOOK FORWARD TO FOR 2025

I was reading through Vicn's blog a while ago, including his insane future plans for Glenmoril, and it does kinda feel like the Vicn series would be the natural result of a combination of a Japanese man's complexity addiction and dedication to the grind, and Kirkbride's lorem ipsum ramblings. I wonder how much Glenmoril will escalate with the final update since we already know from Unslaad that "final update" can potentially mean content that eclipses the entire rest of the mod.

Sadly the author of Apotheosis hasn't been active for a while, leading people to think he is either facing personal problems or in an hiatus due to the political state of his country. Hope he is doing well...

Once I've beaten and completed the entire Vicn saga, played through Odyssey of the Dragonborn and finished Apotheosis I'm gonna' finally retire my Skyrim until my grandson is old enough to play it.

Man, when Glenmoril comes out and everything gets voiced, my Skyrim journey will be complete. I like to have the Owlc0da series as a way to end the game but with Glenmoril being incomplete and without voice acting, I feel like I have to wait for everything to be finished. Owlc0da is the only reason I am still playing Skyrim - biding my time until it's voiced and done. Owlc0da feels like the perfect closure and ending that the base game seemingly lacks.

I am currently taking my biggest break from Skyrim. It has been around 1 year and 1 month. I have played the Legacy of the Dragonborn mod excessively so I was burnt out. I can't wait for all these mods to come out (especially Glenmoril!) so that I can return to Skyrim and complete all of them in one character. There are mods that I've never played too, like Project AHO and Helgen Rebuilt.

All these new mods should be ESM, which don't load persistent references in the same way as esp. They will add references but it might be worth getting id of things like Hammet's dungeon pack or other bloaty mods when they come out.

I had that issue. Rocked a save file with like 900k ref until my game physically couldn't function. Finally fixed it a few weeks ago by converting the biggest offenders into ESM files

Just as I was sad to leave Faerun after finishing BG3, Skyrim comes for the rescue. And God of God, Glenmoril. Thats grand. So many years of waiting to see the conclusion and hopefully save Lalanoah. I crave this mod more than anything Vicn ever released. Someone would have to give Him idea for a good ending where we get the toggle to organise St. Bazura night whenever we want. Thanks for the heads up Cotho. xd

Yeah, we might have to wait for Glenmoril for a bit longer. We know how huge Vicn's last acts are. Also, I wanted do ask, do you stand by your decision to cover Glenmoril and Unslaad only once they're both voiced? Because that might add a year on top of the wait.

Yes, if anything them taking longer to be finished and voiced is a good thing. The Sermons video will take until February (approx 4h long). I also have a list of stuff I want to cover, but I just constantly short on time. Them taking a bit longer gives me time to prepare.

@cotho. 4 hours? Damn, I wonder what topic it would take to beat that lol. And how about AI? There currently exists a mod that has AI voice Glenmoril and Unslaad, and as long as it isn't abandoned, it will probably be up to date sooner than Aelarr gets the voice cast together.

The Previous Rigmor mods are very Railroady and force your character into a certain role, which is, as you might guess, very unfitting for an RPG where you decide what character you want to be. That doesn't work for Rigmor. And many people find Rigmors character extremely annoying.

what isn't wrong with the rigmor of Tamerial*. The mods are just not good, even if we ignore all the lore breaking shenanigans. It's still shit, it sidelines your character like crazy, we get it the story isn't about us, but saying stuff like "so you're the dragonborn? So what?" That's an actual line in the mod, it also forces you to have a relationship with rigmor in both mods, in the first one she was underage and we basically like a daughter to your character, and in the second one they straight up make you marry her. The only good thing about the mod is that you get to become the emperor, and not because you're the dragonborn no no no, its because the rigmor is the queen and you're the only one possible to be her fiance.... I genuinely can't understand how people can take a look at these mods and call them decent.

Could we stop trying to turn Skyrim into Dark Souls? It's getting to the point where every new big mod is just Dark Souls. I didn't even finish Vigilant because it had too much Dark Souls bullshit in it.
