Back in 2022 I looked at one. I had my choices narrowed down to it and an Altima… sadly I went with the Altima mainly from the price and that it was awd. A couple years later I regret not getting the Accord since I’ll more than likely have to get the cvt replaced. They quoted me $8000 for a new transmission, so what I initially saved by getting a cheaper car I’ll end up paying anyways and even more.

Love that you lead with the V6 Accord. I have a 2014 V6 Manual coupe and it's a rambunctious little bugger when you put your foot in it. I would add in the V6 Camry, especially the 2015-2017 which didn't have any badging telling you it's a V6 (you can only tell by looking for two tailpipes). IMO that car accelerates better than the V6 Accord (I think the transmission is smoother and better) and it's more reliable than the Honda. Handling is pretty poor though and it's comically easy to break the front tires loose.
@michaeltutty15406 ай бұрын
My favourite sleeper was my custom ordered 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis LS sedan. Being a Canadian market car, the 5.8 litre V8 was a mere $185 extra. The heavy duty towing package that transformed the car from sofa on a cream puff to canyon carver (with proper performance tires) was all of $550. 0-60 in a shade over 6 seconds, rated for 6,000 pounds of trailer, and 40 miles to the Imperial gallon when not towing. All anyone saw was a deep red sedan with vinyl top and white wall tires. The tires happened to be BF Goodrich Comp T/A HR-4. What nobody saw was the 1¼ inch front antisway bar and the 1 inch in the rear. All the other goodies were hidden, too. Gotta love a Q Ship.
