Magus Lucea Kane is CRAZY. I have her in the 99 of an Animar X spell list with Hydras and Tyranids and she has become a clean commander swap on occasion, that lady does so much work. Absolute MVP and Secret Commander of the deck.

She's really cool because you can cast a Doppelgang with her to copy it where X = 2 and combine that with Dualcaster Mage and you can copy every permanent in play as many times as you want for 11 total mana, 2 of which is paid with her ability.

Great video as always! I love my Magus Lucea deck, but a lot of these commanders you highlighted are very interesting and tempting to build. I like the fact that there's a commander who cares a lot about theft and can make the strategy viable. Shelob can be very cool doubling up on ETBs and eating those Food versions of your opponent's creatures.

Sigarda, Font of Blessings and Nahiri, Forged in Fury are absolute *bangers* from MAT. One's my primary Commander and the other is a friend's and they're absolutely incredible to play. Adding Green to the overwhelmingly-White angels *really* helps them out through the obvious addition of ramp, but a great added bonus is cards like Sylvan Library or Garruk's Uprising that help out the otherwise-anemic draw engines available to White. Finally, Green offers more access to defensive tools like Hexproof, and lets you pick up Trample, which is great for letting the bigger Angels hit in without needing specifically Odric + Akroma. Play it defensive with Sigarda's boardwide Hexproof and Avacyn's boardwide Indestructible; as long as you're able to protect the castle long enough to get those two around, you have a very good chance of winning. Nahiri's even simpler: 30-40 Equipments, as many of them as possible being a Living Weapon/For Mirrodin!/non-keyworded equivalent. If you get one of them out before Nahiri it's functionally ramp, and sets you up to attack when Nahiri hits the field without needing to get Haste on her. You have a good chance (about 1/3) to get another Equipment off the top that you can then cast. Now next turn you can attack with 2 of them, getting 2 chances for Equipment, and so on. Have a few defensive Equipments to give Nahiri Hexproof/Indestructible/Protection From X and she's sticking around even more and also gets to trigger herself!

Love my Shelob Bonk deck. Runs 10 less creatures for spells w/ Glamdring (Gandalfs Sword) & Runechanter's Pike with trample sprinkles. Finally closing out games.

One of my favorite cards for Don Andres is The Cyber-Controller. The Cybermen you mill are your opponents cards, so you get a 5/5 for each creature you mill. Oh, and Synthesis Pod. Been looking for a home for that one.

the phantom premonitions ranar precon is a great value ($25) if, like me, you're getting back into magic after a while away. it's my only commander deck. i added about $60 of flicker/blink/spirit anthem upgrades to start, and then occasionally i'll bring my pocket change over to my LGS to buy

Best card idea for magus lucea kane will be the war of the spark kiora. You will get 2 copies of the x spell and if its a creature whose power is greater than 4 (most likely). You will practically get 6 cards off of it.

Sigarda Gang rise up. You willing to share your list by any chance? I've seen three main ways to build her (Angel Tribal with the Hexproof, Human Tribal with lots of off-the-top stuff and cards like Katilda that make them all Dorks, and a Goodstuff mix that just tries to play all the good Angels and Humans and back it up with whatever works) and it's always interesting to see the direction people take her.

Just as a warning to people watching this and getting excited about Ranar the ever watchful, this commander used to be cedh viable and in any playgroup with players who’ve been around the proverbial block in commander you will be targeted

Sigarda, Font of Blessings is a great way to secretly run a stax deck. A majority of hatebears are humans or angels so if anyone calls you out just say your deck clearly meets the strict guideline of being a tribal deck. Add in some Saffi Erisdotter, Karmic Guide, Renegade Rallier, and Fiend Hunter loops (all "tribal" pieces) and you have a deceptively high performing deck capable of putting a strangehold on your opponents while you look for your combo pieces. Sigarda even gives all your stuff hexproof so your opponents are going to have trouble getting rid of the Dranith Magistrate.
