Your reviews are really the best! Camera work is steady and well edited, you speak clearly, the sound work is nearly always first class and the reviews seem very objective. I especially like that you cover lots of smaller units. A lot of us older folks are driving smaller vehicles and the kids are living on their own. I like that you generally give the size and weight, if it's too heavy I can skip to the next section. Thanks.

Thanks for the video. Great job! I just got rid of my old 20ft Yellowstone hardside and moved up to a 2003 Jayco Kiwi 23ft hybrid. For myself and the wife it's a decent size and we don't always have to open up the pop-outs if it's only the two of us. If we happen to have additional people with us, the pop-outs are super easy to set up. Also like the fact that it has a manual slide out on the left hand side. Weighing in at 3630 lbs, my 2004 Suburban has no issues towing it down the road.

We have a 2021 Rockwood Roo 233s that we bought in August 2020. We really like it and have taken it on 3 camping trips so far here in NH. My only complaint is on cold nights the tip out bunk ends build up a lot of condensation. I think this is a normal problem with tip out campers. We’ve found running the furnace and keeping the camper warm helps but it’s still and issue if you sleep in one of the three tip out beds. Otherwise we love the camper and recommend it.

We have a Rockwood Roo. Only two downsides is moisture forming between the mattress and hard surface of bed and condensation forming on the fabric of the tipouts. We used our hybrid at Lake Louise....They have an area fenced in for soft campers...fencing is electrified. For the moisture problem, a mat under the mattress will help and insulated covers for the fabric called GIZMOS.

I was looking at travel trailers and to get more space you have to haul alot of weight, and I like these units, They are lower weight so you don't have to tow as much and the room you get. I’m starting to get into this channel. I started to have a love for RVs when when we went to buy are first RV when I was a kid. Forget the amusement parks I liked going to the RV shows & dealers. I would cut up the brochures to make my own floor plans. I’ve always wanted to be a RV designer to design them that just make sense for everyone. I like the Intech toyhauler but it needs a few tweaks & a bathroom would be great. It would of been nice to see you stand in it to give us an idea how tall it is inside. The specs say it’s 5’6” inside height. I’m 5’8” & can make it work but I would redesign it to not have the slide out kitchen & have some type of bathroom.

Very nice video we have an 05 Rockwood Rue 21 foot hybrid. I really like it when we're thinking of upgrading I really like at 23 foot still trying to decide if we want to go full camper or hybrid. A nice thing to add would be how the new hybrids do not have to be connected once fold it out like my 05. It's kind of a pain and also lets bugs in but the new ones seem to have fixed that issue might be worth mentioning down the road. Great video thanks for your input

On the first one, if the outside kitchen cook top was reversed, if someone was cooking and someone else wanted to come outside they would open the RV door right into the person cooking. I don’t know if that was the reasoning behind their decision but it makes sense to me.

Nice well intended video. At 3:04 when you mention the stove top might open the wrong way, WTF over, the fraken door opens the wrong way. LH swing here ! The cook top is certainly reversible and is probably a result of poor communication during the build. Ease of use here. This setup is a tad awkward.

I know nothing of rving, but im interested in starting. Why not just do a wet bath in the smaller rvs. I know its not ideal but seems like it would be a great space saver for more storage.
@RVBlogger4 ай бұрын
Wet baths are definitely better than no bathroom, that's for sure, and they do maximize space. We camped with a wet bath for 10 days and didn't really enjoy it. Having the floors, walls and toilet wet after a shower was kind of inconvenient. I know some people have tricks to speed the drying process. We have a Facebook group called RV Camping For Newbies that is great resource for folks that are learning. If you have Facebook you might want to check it out. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support! facebook.com/groups/RVCampingforNewbies

I like your reviews however, I would appreciate if you show the access and space when the slide outs or pop out are stored. When travailing, there are many times that you stop somewhere and do not plan on expanding the pop outs or slide outs. Good to know what we are faced with when not in a campground.
@RVBlogger Жыл бұрын
Those are all great points and I wish we could show you what it looks like while closed. We shoot our video tours while attending RV shows and occasionally at dealerships. Unfortunately we do not have the opportunity to close slides or beds in RVs. That is a disadvantage we have over many other RV tour KZbinrs that work at dealerships. We actually tell people if you see an RV you like from one of our brief tours, check out @MattsRVReviews who does a more in depth tour of one RV per video. It's an idea. I'm always curious when someone says they want to know how accessible the inside is when closed for stop over purposes. How often does that occur? Can you take a cooler? These types of thoughts. Maybe you can help me with those answers. I don't know if being unaccessible during travel would stop me from buying my "perfect" floor plan. Sorry we can't help but thank you for letting us know your thoughts and watching our videos!

How would you keep the trailer insulated with the pop out sides?
@RVBlogger3 жыл бұрын
Hi Justin, It's not easy but I would buy insulated blankets like concrete finishers use and drape them over the outside of the pop outs. They can handle rain no problem. I would also use a heated mattress. We have also seen people tape up Double Bubble Reflective Foil Insulation inside their popup but it looks pretty junky that way. We enjoyed camping in our pop-up camper when the family was younger. Now we don't need all those beds. I do appreciate some of the new features in these, like the couch that flipped forward into an extra bed, and the little shelf above the bathroom sink. The small toy hauler is a little bare bones for me, but still a great unit for some. I can imagine a lot of deer hunters enjoying that set-up. I love that it is available in a small size instead of just the long big rigs you usually see when you talk about a toy hauler. Will you be having the chance to look at any drive-able units? Well, seeing as we are confined to our homes, it probably is a no! I really hope my husband and I can upgrade to a small RV in the future as we plan to tour the country more extensively.

Why is camping in a hybrid in bear country a problem? I want to purchase one but all my fav campgrounds are near Yosemite and Black bears!
