Not quite sure what the market is for these. I lik small trailers; we have an 18 footer. But these are missing some amenities that help us take long trips. These seem perfect for one, maybe two, travelers on short trips.

I can visit my mom or my daughter in another state, use this as my personal “guest bedroom” in their driveway for a few days, and empty the cassette in a nearby travel stop dump station. We don’t only camp 🏕️ with a trailer, we visit family. I am shopping for something that can go ANYWHERE. Thank you for showing all different options.

We have the Encore 10KB (no burners, no toilet, and a bigger fridge w/extra cabinet above where the cassette toilet is), and with the bed open on one side, it feels quite spacious. We're coming from a 4x8 squaredrop with a 46 inch bed enclosed on 3 sides by walls, so... We spend most of our time outside, and aren't bothered by a potty tent, so it works for us. We can stand in it to dress and use the potty when traveling (think Truck Stop or Cracker Barrel). The tires are rated for 81mph, so we can drive highway speeds. There's SO much storage in the cabinets (underneath as well as up top). All the windows tilt out, great for having open in the rain. We have one 100ah Lithium Battery (it can hold 3), so we can keep the Fridge running while driving and run everything except the AC/heat. We got a small gas grill and 700 watt microwave for cooking/reheating. We have a gas fire pit, too. We can set up/tear down in 10 minutes now. The no wood or steel construction really sold us. We love this camper!

I really like the Prolite Lounge but wish it had a larger '2' door fridge. If I'm going to do this, I'd need a larger fridge with a Separate Freezer to store my storage containers of homemade sphagetti and chicken veggie soup, etc! Would be nice to add a couple of hooks on the inside of the bathroom door for towels, also a covered toilet tissue receptacle plus a caged metal area against the upper wall to place body wash, deodorant, lotion, cologne and a small hand sanitizer. I think if they'd add pull out shelves to that pantry, it would be a DONE DEAL! Guess I'd place a cup to the wall on the kitchen sink for toothpaste, floss and a toothbrush! Love the wood coloring! I may have to look at this over, I don't remember him saying anything about A/C or Heat, probably wrong about that though, Ha! Think I'd add Solar on top too! ...Price is too high because it doesn't have my bathroom essentials and a larger fridge... One thing 'I'd' do is add a carrier for a Trike! YES, I definitely like this one Best! 👍

So glad you like the Prolite. They do have other floor plans that might be a bit bigger or have other features that interest you. These travel trailers do come with AC and heat. Most TT come pre-wired for solar power and include a solar panel. I will say most RV owners will modify their campers with personal touches. We added a 4-chamber soap/shampoo/conditioner dispenser in our shower. We include the MSRP as a price point but we hope people negotiate a much lower sales price. Feel free to reach out with any questions. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!

@RVBlogger3 ай бұрын
Good question! The only answer is money. All the manufacturers do what is called "Value Engineering". It's just a fancy term for removing cost from a product while maintaining the value. They get away with it so they continue to do it. We have almost eradicated shower curtains in campers and our next area may be Mattresses. The more we bring it up the more people will begin to demand a better mattress. In the meantime our viewers can use it to negotiate a lower price knowing they will need to replace the mattress. @RVBlogger3 ай бұрын
Hi Laura, Thanks for the suggestions! We always want to hear what our viewers want to see in our videos. What do you mean by how the windows vent? Here are some general rules to go by: There are no ceiling fans except for park models, 5th wheels and Class A RVs. ( sometimes there is a very rare exception to this) Also, very few fridges are 3 way. A/C is almost always available and although it's an option on most campers practically ever dealer across the country orders them with A/C units. There are so few exceptions to these generalizations we really don't cover the items you are asking about. But if we get more requests to cover these items we will consider it. Thanks for watching! Prolite called us to let us know the MSRP is much lower than we are showing. So why do we have the wrong MSRP? Because ProLite doesn't list the MSRP on their website. So we looked up many dealerships who sell ProLite to get the MSRP and they are listing these units much higher than the manufacturer's MSRP so they can pretend they are giving you a bigger discount. Susan did revise the video to blur the MSRP for future viewers. The correct MSRP is $29,300. This issue is proof of what is going on in the RV industry to fool consumers. Thanks for watching!

My suggestion for the manufacturers: I can’t understand why, in campers with little kitchen counter space, I haven’t seen a single camper with the dinette table (if any) raisable to counter height for temporary prep space. Trying to work standing at dining table height surface for any length of time, often enough, can really strain neck and shoulder muscles. Trying to slice and dice while sitting, causes strain also, and you’ve got a lot less force and power in your arm muscles. I’m not an engineer but it seems an obvious solution to me. Excellent video as usual, though I would like to have heard about the solar setup on these campers.
@RVBlogger3 күн бұрын
This is one of the best suggestions we have ever read!!! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts! We don't cover solar because the amount of solar that comes with any new camper is negligible at best for the most part.
@Laudon12284 сағат бұрын
@ Huh, I didn’t know that (the solar thing) I don’t actually have experience with RVing. I’m watching videos of different types of campers, teardrops, trailers, etc, with an eye to transitioning to living mobile. Thank you very much for your kind feedback on my feedback. 😁 I’ve watched enough of them, so many with almost none-existent prep/counter space, I guess my brain starting looking for solutions with telling me. 😉 Once the idea occurred to me, it seemed so obvious. If they can make the table support to “telescope” from bed to table height, they should be able to make up lengthen a foot or so more to counter height.

You can buy a 2 year old 22 ft trailer for $15k all day long. Are there any trailers that are smaller Have a bathroom And are good enough to handle midwest winters?

There are some for sure but the reality is you will need to burn a ton of propane to keep warm all winter and you will need some really good RV skirting. That's all good info...we have been asked by lots of people about tank size. Almost all of the windows open on most RVs and they come with screens. Why does it matter which way they open? (Just curious) Thanks for watching and for your suggestions! Mike

@@RVBloggerIt matters about the way the windows open because if they open from the bottom, they're easier to leave open in the rain (less likely to come inside). I prefer them that way.

Thanks Susan and Mike, nice video. I suppose these are okay for the demographic of people under 5'11". Too small for me. The last one @ around 50k and no apparent TV hookup? Also, no convection microwave in any of them. Not much bang for your buck. Thanks for the video, stay safe and good travels.

If looking to buy a tagalong, which do you recommend first looking at vehicles that could tow or looking at the campers. I currently have a car Honda Civic 2022 thinking about trading it in for a truck that could pull a small title along I’m 65 and seriously thinking about doing this in the near future and could really use some advice. Thanks in advance.
@RVBlogger2 ай бұрын
I would start with the travel trailer first. Find something small and lightweight that you would feel comfortable in. Once you know the GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) of the camper then you know the size of truck you might need. The GVWR is the weight of the trailer along with all your gear (food, clothing, and RV supplies). We have a rule of towing only 80% of what your truck is recommended to tow, as a safety feature. So if you have a truck that can tow 5,000 lbs, the GVWR of your travel trailer should not exceed 4,000 lbs. Feel free to reach out with any questions. susan@rvblogger.com Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!

1st one... do couples just do their business right while others are watching TV? The Skinny Guy trailer just doesn’t do anything for me. It’s a munchkin trailer made for small stature people sizes and just feels more low rent inside. The Encore Venu is just flat out too small and cramped for me, although it’s really got a cool layout. But the box just needs to be 6” to a foot wider and one to 2 feet longer to be big enough to be comfortable. I found the use of metal cabinets and the metal toilet enclosure to be really interesting and clever. A bit of thinking outside the box. The last is the one that gets my attention. It’s got the best layout and size plus it’s also very light overall. This one would look great behind my midsize Ram Promaster City Van. And I could get some matching or complimentary vinyl wrap to really make it stand out. And it’s light enough to fit within my tow capacity. It’s the right one me overall.

ALL trailers that use a cassette toilet in a wet bath: The toilet should be on a slide OUT. The toilet slides like a drawer, to the exterior while showering. I would think the the manufacturer can design an inside latch method. I suppose that the same design can work with a fixed toilet, the plumbing system would be a unique design.
