I personally try to diversify my shoes making sure I have a variety of shoes to wear. Especially since I am a neutral kind of person that doesn't wear super bright color clothes or sneakers and even if I do, I would have to be smart about it. So that way people don't say that it stands out too much.

Richie - just as a suggestion, I’d recommend getting a cloud lifter for your Shure SM7b microphones. The audio is very crisp, but the output is always very low. A cloud lifter will give you a lot more gain. Great video!

Used market is a great resource!. I've actually held on DS pairs and bought lightly worn pairs to wear and let go of the DS pairs and came out ahead $$$ wise because of the current state of the market and how much you can save on pairs. One tip I would add is make use of the offer system on any of the online vendors you're buying from, never know if you can get it for cheaper and some people prefer cash now.

top tip is definitely to "invest" more in shoes you wear more often. I'll never regret buying my orange lobsters or my bio hack 1s... I'm the guy that wears bright shoes 3 times a week but outfits require deliberate thought and they have to stay fresh to carry the look. There's a reason people like panda dunks and the ubiquitous vans old skools.

Hear me out here… I feel like 1’s and 4’s kind of lost that sneakerhead vibe. I still own plenty of them and wear them a lot but I’ve been more likely to compliment someone’s fit when they got on some 3’s, 5’s, 6’s 12’s etc (especially retros that came out prior to 2019). All you see now is panda dunks, GR retro 1’s, and trashed pairs of 4’s (mainly 2020-2022 colorways)
