5 Solutions to Bermudagrass and Shade

“Why can’t I get bermudagrass to grow under my tree?” While there isn’t a magic bullet to get your Bermuda dense and green in shade, Kasey Billingsley of Harmony Horticultural Consulting recommends 5 solutions to addressing those bare spots in shaded lawn areas of your yard.
1. Reduce turfgrass areas
2. Raise and thin tree canopies
3. Raise mow height
4. Re-sod with a more shade-tolerant variety of Bermudagrass
5. Grow an alternative turfgrass species

Thanks for this have a small area next to my shed that blocks out the sunlight after a certain time of day but Tahoma still looks good getting around 6hours ☀️ but can see the difference in rest of Tahoma that gets the sun from sunrise to sundown like 14 hrs daily what a difference in thickness 👍

Where can I get Tifgrand seed?

All of the hybrid Bermuda varieties are sodded. Only common Bermuda (less desirable varieties) are seeded. Hybrids have sterile seeds. Evergreen Turf grows and supplies the Tifgrand in the SW region.
