Hi there! I haven't had the best reading year so far so I thought it might lift my spirits to talk about some books I have very high hopes for! I'm desperately hoping at least one of these books turns out to be a 5 star read 🤞🏻 I'd love to hear your thoughts if you've read any of these!

I loved the Map of the Otherlands. I think it's even better than the first book in the series (which I also loved!)

That Morgan book might be interesting. I was obsessed with The Mists of Avalon as a teenager. Afaik that was the first and main big retelling from the female perspective. First i saw the mini series on tv, then read all the books. Too bad the enjoyment of that is now ruined by what came to light about the writer after her death ... Gideon the Ninth has been on my list aswell, and still have to read the Emily Wilde books aswell!

I think you might like Mirror Visitor series. It's fantasy YA, but I would say it's definitely on the more mature side of YA - I read it first at 30 and enjoyed it tremendously. Many of the common YA tropes are absent or downright broken/inverted and the universe is utterly fascinating.

I haven't finished it, I'm almost halfway through but I think you'll like A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik!! I saw you have Uprooted on ur shelf so maybe you've already read it but if not, you should check it out :) dark academia vibes in a magic school with some rivals to lovers it seems :)))
