in brief: In this video, the speaker shares tips on how to think in English for non-native speakers. The main points covered are: 1-Listen to everything in English: Immerse yourself in English audio content, such as audiobooks, music, and TV shows. Try to be present and actively listen to the language structure and words used. 2-Self-conversation: Practice speaking English by asking and answering questions to yourself. If you don't know a word, look it up and create a sentence using it. 3-Avoid bilingual dictionaries: As you progress, use monolingual English dictionaries like Cambridge or Oxford, so your brain isn't translating back and forth between languages. 4-Read books and magazines in English: Highlight unknown words and create example sentences to understand and remember them. 5-Write in English: Engage in active exercises by thinking and writing in English, such as creating to-do lists or journaling. The speaker emphasizes that implementing these steps will help you stop translating in your head and improve your English in the long run.

Wow Veronika. I liked your video. All of these five steps that you are teaching are very effective. Because for two years I've been practicing these five steps. My phone is in English. All of the movies I watch are in English; all the music I listen to is in English. Two years ago, I stopped translating, and I began to learn new words in English reading its definition in English. I love English as much as you love it. Have a great day.

"knowing a lot of words is fine but if you don't know how to use them in sentences and conversations then they're all useless. Words are only useful when we know how to use them in sentences". Well... I don't agree with that. It depends what is your goal, for example if speaking and writing isn't that important for someone, then they can have a lot of benefits from only knowing a meaning of words because it's easy to understand context of sentece if you know all that words. There are a lot of people who learn English and they understand a lot from reading and listening but they've got problems with speaking and writing.
