If you feel like you need something to listen to (I understand, we often like to listen to things to avoid boredom when doing things) then listen to the Quran. Turn it on and you’ll feel more focussed and if you have any anexiety or depression, you’ll cry and release it all. Then you’ll feel this inner peace and happiness from the Quran :) Good luck, my friend!

@@bliifee What is meant by *heaven* and *hell?* *Ibn al-Qayyim* (may Allah have mercy on him) said: As a matter of fact, Paradise is not a word that refers only to trees, fruits, food, drink, hoor al-‘een, rivers and palaces. Most people are mistaken when they think that Paradise is limited to that, for Paradise is a name for the abode of perfect and absolute bliss, and *one of the greatest joys of Paradise will be the pleasure of gazing upon the noble Countenance of Allah and hearing His words, and the delight of being close to Him and attaining His pleasure.* There can be no comparison between the physical pleasures in Paradise - such as food, drink, clothing and images - and that pleasure. *Attaining the least divine pleasure is greater than Paradise and all that it contains,* as Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): “But the good pleasure of Allah is greater still” [at-Tawbah 9:72]. In other words, no matter the extent to which Allah is pleased with His slave, even if it is small, it is still greater than Paradise. In the saheeh hadith about seeing Allah, it says: “… and Allah will not give them anything that is dearer to them than gazing upon His Countenance.” According to another hadith: “When He, may He be glorified, manifests Himself to them and they see His Countenance with their own eyes, they will forget all the bliss that they had been enjoying, and will become oblivious to that joy and will pay no attention to it.” Undoubtedly, this is how it is, And the matter is much greater than one could think or imagine, especially when the lovers there find themselves with the one whom they love, for a person will be with the one whom he loves. What bliss, delight, joy or triumph could come close to the joy, pleasure and tranquillity of being with Allah? Is there anything superior to the pleasure and joy of being close to the Beloved, for there is nothing greater than Him, or more perfect, or more beautiful, and nothing could give greater comfort and happiness? This - by Allah - is the type of knowledge that the lovers are striving hard to attain, and is the banner around which all those who have knowledge of Allah rally. It is the most important thing in Paradise, through which Paradise becomes a place of joy, and the life of Paradise is based on that. So how can it be said that one should not worship Allah for the sake of attaining Paradise or for fear of Hell? *Similarly, Hell* - may Allah protect us from it - is a place where its dwellers will suffer a great deal when they are partitioned away from Allah and suffer disgrace, divine wrath and anger, and being far away from Him. That will be worse than the flames of fire in their bodies and souls. In fact, the flames of this fire in their hearts is what led to the flames burning their bodies, for those flames spread everywhere in their bodies from their hearts. The aspiration of the Prophets and Messengers, the siddeeqs (the strong and true in faith), the martyrs and the righteous is Paradise, and what they seek to flee from is Hell. And Allah is the source of strength, and in Him we put our trust. There is no power and no strength except with Allah; Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs. {Madaarij as-Saalikeen (2/80, 81)} Shaykh al-Islam *Ibn Taymiyah* (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Some of the early generations said: The one who worships Allah on the basis of love alone is a heretic; the one who worships Him on the basis of fear alone is a Haroori (i.e., a Khaariji); the one who worships Him on the basis of hope alone is a Murji’; but the one who worships Him on the basis of love, fear and hope is a believer who affirms His Oneness. {Majmoo‘ al-Fataawa (15/21)}

Shukar Alhamdulillah sister 7 years ago I stopped listening to music And even one song is not available in my every device... Nor I suggest anyone to listen! Yeah agree it's difficult but, as you said for the sake of ALLAH (it is POSSIBLE) and never ending blessings in hereafter will be more beneficial for us as a Muslim! But Allah helped alot in every situation to avoid or feel weird if I accidentally listen to music 🥰 Instead I started listening to ALLAH nasheeds (Allah Hoo Allah hoo-merciful servant) and it's my most favourite one! I feel relaxed ☺️

I used to listen to music when I was alone in my room or at the gym. To fill the void when I‘m alone I switched to audible and listen to books and I absolutely love it 😊 You can either step into a great story or listen to a book like your favorite „atomic habits“ to learn something. Also, Quran in the background when I am at home is so amazing. For the brothers, who need the music to hype them up as I used it also I can recommend to stop it there too. There is also another problem of music regarding dunya, because if you need the music to hype you up, you are not goving 100% if you don‘t have your hype music. Just imagine, you are getting into a fight (may allah protect us) and there is no music, then you can‘t give your best. It‘s the same for studying. I think a lot of us know the situation, that we listen to a motivational video and then are convinced to study 10hours but of course after the video the motivation is gone. We need to get this motivation without these triggers, we need discipline to do all of that even unmotivated, and we get closer to that state when we stop listening to music insha‘Allah. May Allah guide us and help us. Thank you for the great reminder, sister! May Allah bless you.

I don't agree with the Quran in the background. Quran is not to entertain ears or fill the void, it is to be read understood and followed. Not focussing on what the qaari is saying is an insult to the Quran.

I tought, it would be very hard for me, as someone, that listened to music every day (rap and this dirty kinds). Just delete it. Do you think your creator doesn't know what good and bad is for you??? Now, what are you waiting for, just delete it complete. In my experience, I don't miss this s...t Be slave of ALLAH and not of Shaytan!

The simple way I quit my music is not to avoid them at once, It was just a step-by-step strategy. For example, if I had listened to music all day today, I'd make it half the next day and so on, at the end, I would listen to only one song and that's it. Until I reached the point where It felt so uncomfortable listening to music. It started to feel more like a crime if listen to more than one! Of course, Quran and music can't stay in one heart. (either it's music and immoral words or The Quran in your heart). So along the way, I chose the alternate and that was Quran with TRANSLATION. Even if at first I wasn't enjoying but I truly felt the satisfaction inside me. I also memorized some of the Quran. So that whenever I am traveling or I am riding my bike I keep on reciting the surah I memorized. As soon as I finish the surahs I see myself at the destination safe and sound. THE BEST FEELING EVER! If u leave something for the sake of ALLAH, ALLAH will replace it with something better. I left music a few years ago, Alhamdulillah.. Allah has now given me peace in Quran n islamic lectures.. Music did deviate my soul n played with my desires.. U will only realise after u leave this Haram act.. Till then Strive for the sake of ALLAH.. fight with ur desires.. take time n slowly remove it from ur lifestyle.

What is meant by *heaven* and *hell?* *Ibn al-Qayyim* (may Allah have mercy on him) said: As a matter of fact, Paradise is not a word that refers only to trees, fruits, food, drink, hoor al-‘een, rivers and palaces. Most people are mistaken when they think that Paradise is limited to that, for Paradise is a name for the abode of perfect and absolute bliss, and *one of the greatest joys of Paradise will be the pleasure of gazing upon the noble Countenance of Allah and hearing His words, and the delight of being close to Him and attaining His pleasure.* There can be no comparison between the physical pleasures in Paradise - such as food, drink, clothing and images - and that pleasure. *Attaining the least divine pleasure is greater than Paradise and all that it contains,* as Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): “But the good pleasure of Allah is greater still” [at-Tawbah 9:72]. In other words, no matter the extent to which Allah is pleased with His slave, even if it is small, it is still greater than Paradise. In the saheeh hadith about seeing Allah, it says: “… and Allah will not give them anything that is dearer to them than gazing upon His Countenance.” According to another hadith: “When He, may He be glorified, manifests Himself to them and they see His Countenance with their own eyes, they will forget all the bliss that they had been enjoying, and will become oblivious to that joy and will pay no attention to it.” Undoubtedly, this is how it is, And the matter is much greater than one could think or imagine, especially when the lovers there find themselves with the one whom they love, for a person will be with the one whom he loves. What bliss, delight, joy or triumph could come close to the joy, pleasure and tranquillity of being with Allah? Is there anything superior to the pleasure and joy of being close to the Beloved, for there is nothing greater than Him, or more perfect, or more beautiful, and nothing could give greater comfort and happiness? This - by Allah - is the type of knowledge that the lovers are striving hard to attain, and is the banner around which all those who have knowledge of Allah rally. It is the most important thing in Paradise, through which Paradise becomes a place of joy, and the life of Paradise is based on that. So how can it be said that one should not worship Allah for the sake of attaining Paradise or for fear of Hell? *Similarly, Hell* - may Allah protect us from it - is a place where its dwellers will suffer a great deal when they are partitioned away from Allah and suffer disgrace, divine wrath and anger, and being far away from Him. That will be worse than the flames of fire in their bodies and souls. In fact, the flames of this fire in their hearts is what led to the flames burning their bodies, for those flames spread everywhere in their bodies from their hearts. The aspiration of the Prophets and Messengers, the siddeeqs (the strong and true in faith), the martyrs and the righteous is Paradise, and what they seek to flee from is Hell. And Allah is the source of strength, and in Him we put our trust. There is no power and no strength except with Allah; Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs. {Madaarij as-Saalikeen (2/80, 81)} Shaykh al-Islam *Ibn Taymiyah* (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Some of the early generations said: The one who worships Allah on the basis of love alone is a heretic; the one who worships Him on the basis of fear alone is a Haroori (i.e., a Khaariji); the one who worships Him on the basis of hope alone is a Murji’; but the one who worships Him on the basis of love, fear and hope is a believer who affirms His Oneness. {Majmoo‘ al-Fataawa (15/21)}

Asalamalaykum Something I have been in search for quite sometime is a connection with somebody that goes beyond vanity. It's very hard to do in this day and age. People can be, somewhat very superficial. On my quest to achieve this I have learnt a lot about human nature. It seems to me that those who are not given traits such as beauty or being wealthy are some of the nicest, kindest and generous people. While the "gorgeous" and well off seem to be the most arrogant and greedy people out there. Of course that's not to say there aren't beautiful kind people out there. I've been in the process of change for a while now and I have made some decent changes but don't you just hate it when people can't let go of your past mistakes. I saw your profile and it intrigued me. I wanted to learn more about who you are and what type of path you would like on in life.

I'd like to be able to stop listening to music in accordance to the hadith, musical instruments and singing alongside being haram. I find it hard to stop listening to music due to the addiction that it contains, everytime I listen to it; I feel as if I'm another person. After listening, I feel remorse for the way I've acted. Honestly, I had stop listening to music before for about 3-6 months alhamdulillah but so recently I fell back into the cycle due to tiktok/instagram reels. Astaghfirullah

Salam alaikum, I have something to say :) Music isn’t haram really, since the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to sing and play instruments with his friends. However, songs become haram once we listen too much of them, and when we’re listening to songs that have haram lyrics (as in inappropriate lyrics) A good alternative to music is the Quran. I tried it myself, I had music on then I switched to Quran and I felt very focussed. When I put music on, sometimes I find that my mind is playing it over and over again in my mind and I feel distracted. SubhanAllah when I turn on Quran, I don’t feel distracted. Thank you so much, sister!

Whatever is harmful for us is made haram/forbidden. 😇 Look up the harmful effects of music that ex-singers and ppl who left the industry are speaking about. They are themselves telling us to stay away from it. We believe Allah knows us best and we don't need to wait for someone else to tell us that something is harmful for us if He has already told us to stay away from it.

@@bliifee dancing is haram music is haram showing hair is islam nailpaint is haram perfume is haram.... Existence of women is haram in islam... And you said whatever is harmful is haram in your religion why did allah made cousin marriages halal do u know bad genetic disorder it causes in the offspring if both the parents are blood related? And Allah Pak made this halal?
@bliifee
@bliifee Жыл бұрын
Dancing is not haram. It is haram for females to dance in front of unrelated males. Even traditional Indian beliefs will agree with this. Females can dance in front of females and in front of their husband. I have already addressed the point of music being haram. Showing hair is haram in front of unrelated males. It is allowed in front of immediate family and other females. Nail paint is not haram. We can apply it when we are not praying. This is because when we wahs our hands we need to wash it completely including nails. Nail paint is water proof and doesn't allow the water to reach the nails. Alternatives such as henna on nails are allowed because they only stain the nails and don't make a layer on the nails like nail paint. Existence of women is not haram. I'm not sure where u got this from. Allah created us all equally and we have more respect than in any other religion. Yes, if the Muslim men don't follow this rule then that's their wrongdoing but it doesn't mean that Islam doesn't give respect to women. Wearing perfume is haram in front of unrelated males for the same reason as dancing. It is provocative. Ask any male and they will tell u how attractive smells turns them on. We are allowed to wear perfume for our husband and with other females and males from our family such as brother, son, father etc. Allah has made cousin marriages halal. Science says that only a small percent of chances of genetic disorder is increased by cousin marriage than in non cousin marriage. However our Prophet also prohibited cousin marriages in multiple generations because that will multiply the risk of genetic disorders. I'm glad u asked these questions. And i hope the answers are helpful. 😇 I won't be able to answer any further questions due to lack of time, and I recommend u to ask these to other ppl of knowledge who are able to answer it for u. Have a good day. 🌻
