I've had those pedals for a few months now and I love them. I thought they were a gimmick until I saw a biker with them while I was driving and the bicycle registered as a bicycle instantly, normal bike lights have a period of time where I see the light and then see the bike. As soon as that happened I bought a pair. Safest lights I've ever seen on a bike.

As someone living in an apartment with limited space for maintenance, the Altangle seems like a great option for doing basic work in public parks, etc.

Thanks Jack - That is exactly how the Hangar / Hangar Connect came to be! We've spent our fair share of time living and staying in space confined environments and the traditional stand just wasn't doing it for us. Cheers!

Yes I agree with that statement. However, I'll wait a while before I purchase it due to the price of $265.

I bought the original Arclight City Pedals when Redshift did their kickstarter for them. I loved the lights and hated the pedals! When I saw the Pro pedals offered, I reached out to Redshift and found out I could get them without the lights (since I already had a set.) These Arclight Pro Pedals are very good! I don't mind their flatness. I also find their size to be just right for me. I have been using them since shortly after their release and have been very pleased.

I did a 6 month tour with the Alakazam and it was amazing. Not advertised as fully waterproof, but survived MANY bouts of torrential rain without a single drop making it inside. If you pass the mounting loops under the wire on the underneath of the basket rather than the side, it is completely LOCKED DOWN and is probably the most secure bike bag I've ever used. It doesn't budge a millimeter!

The Altangle is an interesting idea. It has popped up on my social media quite a bit lately, i think it is overpriced vs other stands. The portability is great and definitely a niche for it. Thanks for doing the review Russ and your suggestions for improvements seemed really beneficial.

Thank Jason! We do recognize that Connect is priced as a premium product, but I can assure you they are made this way too. Our components are CNC machined with an anodized finish and every part is independently replaceable, meaning if any single part happens to wear down over time, the whole product isn’t headed to the scrap yard. Basically, our products are extremely durable and dependable because that is the quality we would want as customers. Unfortunately, this level of manufacturing means we can't offer them at a lower price point. Our products aren't for everyone, but for those who really need the versatility and dependability it offers, it is well worth the investment. We have a lot of customer testimonials saying as much, which is something we are extremely proud of!

@@altanglecyclingyour product is definitely for me as an avid cyclist who is always doing so type of roadside repair for myself or someone else. This would be a great addition to my compact lithium powered air compressor to inflate tires. Again it's way too pricey.
@mumenrider677 Жыл бұрын
@@altanglecycling I appreciate the reply. I understand that you guys need to price it like that since you sell very few products. I completely understand that you need more than just a standard 15% margin over cost if you want to live from this business when you sell a low volume product like that, AND that your costs are higher than the competition that can make bigger orders to their manufacturers at a lower cost per unit. Despite all of those things being true, it's really hard as a consumer to justify spending more than a PCS-10.3 (maybe the price difference isn't the same worldwide, but in Canada the PCS-10.3 is available for nearly 100$ cheaper than the altangle in some stores) for a product that doesn't look like it should cost as much. Hopefully you guys manage to scale and develop other products, you will be able to lower your costs and margins, allowing you to lower the pricepoint to a more competitive value, so that more people can afford it, and so that the price gets closer to the public's perceived value of a small, portable version of a tool. Hopefully you guys manage to develop a cheaper version as well using polymers and other cheaper materials for the folks who don't have such a high budget.

If you are going to hang your bike off public benches, rails etc. If the clamp damages the item you are clamped to, you are laible for damages and potential criminal charges depending on where you live.

Really liking the idea of the Manivelle basket. I always feel like Wald is ignoring their market by not making better brackets (or even useful hardpoints for attaching to racks), despite being the de-facto basket brand. A direct-mount basket like Manivelle's or Pelago's Rasket is something we need more of!

The Hitch Cycles crow bar would not easily work with the BXB Piccolo that you featured, because the crossbar attachment isn't offset. That is one advantage of the Swood T-rack.

The bike clamp is a vise. It's just an ordinary vise you can put on a work counter. A vise is more useful and probably cheaper.
