I had been familiarized with Brazilian culture being a seafarer calling Brazil ports 25 years ago. A lot of Brazil/ Filipino relationships did not worked out. But at least those relationship did happened during our time where a lot of difficulties and restraints are factors that caused failure, nowadays it might be different.... Get him some compression socks/stockings and compression sleeves for his arms. 2) Filipinos are used to taking showers often because it's so hot and humid in the Philippines. He's conscious about smelling like sweat. It's a good thing your husband takes regular showers to avoid the growth of bacteria. 3) Somebody learned to do his chores well! Filipino kids are taught to take care of their things and help around the house early on. That includes laundry. Maybe when you meet up with his mom, say thank you so much! 4) As for the snack and the drinks to watch TV, even Americans do that! 5) It's a good idea to wait for your other half for things like dinner because time is limited and precious. Indeed might not be natural to others. First and foremost we are family oriented and a matriarchal culture. So early on, male or female we were taught to be respectful of women most especially our mothers so dont be surprised if he will serve you well and take care of you. Being in a tropical country that is warm and humid all year round then it has become a habit of ours to shower more often which we do even when we are in cold countries. Take care of him and he will take care of you 100% back. However, be forewarn, Filipinos (male & female) are romantic in nature however sometimes we dont want to admit it but we could also be “seloso & selosa”(jealous).
