Their action went far beyond the bottom line of peaceful protests, they're literally lawbreakers!😠 It was perfectly legitimate of the Chinese govnt, to crack down on lawbreaking, in order to uphold the nation's law & order. In comparison, look at this year's USA student protests against Isarel genocide in Gaza💀: the Biden govnmt acted much swifter! At once, armed cops stormed the university campuses, and arrested thousands of students & teachers alike! No negotiations, no dragging-ons! You see, both parties were doing similar crackdown on student protests! ~Makes me wonder, how come China was vilified as a "regime rules with terror", but USA be hailed as righteous? I come in China for more than 20 years. Living there. For more than 12 years. What she shows is true. Lot of cameras . I do not see the problem. China is free but there are a few very clear red lines one should not cross. If you do you get trouble like in any other country. The achievements of this huge country are just fantastic. All done by the hard working Chinese. Foreign companies made billions of dollars investing in China. Teaching the clever Chinese people. They did not steal knowledge… we taught them and the developed further. And fast, so fast.

I have been going to China since 1980, when it was not as developed as it is today. The people have always been friendly and helpful. Keen to do business and produce exactly what you need at a fair price. The past 40 years have seen China make fantastic changes as it has become a truly modern society. Meanwhile, I have lived in several different US states during this same period and watched as it has deteriorated into decrepitude. Minimal investment in infrastructure such as roads, bridges, public transportation, affordable housing, education and basic manufacturing training. The US has been going backwards while China charges ahead at full speed. If all US business were managed like Tesla and SpaceX we'd be in far better shape. As it is we can't even build enough warships as we don't have the shipbuilding skills anymore. Like so many other critical manufacturing skills, we've been to dependent on cheap foreign labor to make cheap products for poorly paid Americans while the Chinese have been improving their livings standards many times over. The fundamental problem in the US is a failure to collect enough taxes and a failure to spend what is collected wisely. Our politicians are all bought and paid for by the wealthiest donors that make billions off American workers backs while failing to pay even basic taxes. 'Billionaire' Trump didn't pay any taxes for over ten years! when billionaires pay less taxes that their secretaries you know we have a significant problem. Washington will never fix it while they are 'owned' by the billionaires.
Western societies are not comparable to East Asian societies.There is a thread that links the individual of chinese decent to his or her family and further to his grand parents and further still to his clan and finally to his race and motherland...china is a civilisation that has overcome 5000 years of challenges...USA was born yesterday in comparison...only 300 years. As an overseas Han chinese I do feel that this thread is real and do feel proud of china,s achievements.
@alany.93664 ай бұрын
The root of the problem lie in the globalization, in which American tried to outsource all its manufacturing jobs to China/India etc. This basically helped China build up its skilled work force with advanced technology, as well as the whole package of industries. This is still ongoing, and non-stoppable. Nowadays China is the engine of the world and it's hard to actually turn around. The capitalists of Wall Street, as well as the American people are depending on China to provide them affordable products to make money or make living.

I am a New Yorker and the subway stations are always dirty and hot in the summer. Now is worst with drugs, homeless, and criminals. It's not a good place to raise your family unless you are a billionaire like Trump. New York is only good to see as a tourist, you won't want to see it again. Even the trains to other cities are terrible. I recently to the Amtrak from Niagara falls to NYC. In youtube, they look clean but my seat was not and looked old. It took us 9 hours compare to a 90 minutes plane flight. That's 540 to 90, 6X slower. The only thing good was the leg room and scenics view of the country side but got bore after a hour be because they all look similar. We couldn't take the teain from NYC to Niagara Falls because there was only 1 scheduled and it was like 7am. I don't live in the city, so it would take another hour at least. That's crazy to wake up at 5am. That's why Americans rather drive.😢
