Water bottles in light and heat affect the water and some carcinogens from the water bottle bleed into the water and it kills off some of the oxygen in them, making them not as hydrating, and the taste is awful. The water in the packets keeps light out.

Water doesn’t expire but the bottle does get all these chemicals inside which makes the water not drinking friendly you can get diseases
