Regarding discussion board responses, I always respond in a meaningful way with follow-up questions but I've noticed after 5 courses in a master program, that no one wants to further the conversation or engage with their fellow classmate. Being an online student with very little interaction with the instructor or other classmates makes the experience extremely stale. No offense. I would also like to add that SNHU may want to take into consideration visual and audio learners more since there is not a lot of audio or video, especially no live lectures or live demos from professors, making it extremely hard to comprehend material that you are always reading then writing a paper about. I am retaking a programming course for the 3rd time because of this exact reason. Just saying....

I feel like if I do reply just continue an interesting discussion, after doing my initial post and two replies, that I will be forced to come up with some sort of reference in order to not lose points. I was asked to cite something regarding a work conversation I used to start my post. I did cite two references in a REPLY post and got marked down because I didn't cite something about a work conversation. Make it make sense.

I completely agree with you, I am a new student finishing up my first class this week. I wish there was at least video from the instructor for each week pertaining to the new week. I am a visual and audio learner at best. I have to see, hear. There is no future communication discussions after replying to a peers initial post.

Yes, I’m a try to be very engaging because you’re right. It will be a little boring if no one responds.
