Also watch the element order for some of the elemental reactions. Melt and vaporize do amplify your damage but there's more to this. On melt, if cryo applied first then pyro, the damage multiplier is 2x. If you apply pyro first, the damage multiplier will be 1.5x. Same as vaporize, if you apply pyro then hydro, the damage multiplier is 2x. Apply hydro first and the damage multiplier will be 1.5x. Also melt and vaporize can CRIT while others elemental reactions cannot. I think this is a balancing thing since other elemental reactions have supportive abilities. Like superconduct decreases defense and overloaded blow your enemies away for crowd control. Another elemental reactions order that needs to be keep in mind is electro-charged. If you apply electro then hydro, the result is a non-DoT version but if you apply hydro first then the result is electro DoT version. The non DoT version only procs electro charged once but applies electro and hydro element to enemies for a longer period of time. This means if you put other element, pyro for example, on the non-DOT version.... you will get both overloaded (pyro+electro) and vaporize (pyro+hydro) at the same time! On the other hand, the DoT version will deal damage twice. On hit and after 1-2 second, another one but the element immediately disappear. Thank you for reading. @@iKayorei Sadly, those elemental reactions don't have multiplier as far as i know. They only affected by character level, elemental mastery of the triggering character, and the enemy's elemental resistance. So if you want higher overloaded damage, level up your triggering character and elemental mastery with elemental mastery being the priority.

@@keii77 an abbreviation use in many games and it stands for Damage Over Time. The correct abbreviation should be DoT but i'm too lazy LOL. Damage over Time means a damage that will do maximum damage after giving it enough time. In this case electro will deal damage twice : On hit and over 2-3 second, another electro damage will be dealed. Oh and thanks to your question, i find something misleading in my comments, let me fix that.

It's not that simple to compare "amplifying" and "transformative" reactions, actually. At least not as just "one takes every stat in consideration and the other not, so the last one will be worse". Simply put, there are 2 reasons why their damage is really comparable (not saying which one is better, just that it's not as simple as stated in the vid): 1. "amplifying" reactions scales WAY less with elemental mastery than the "transformative" reactions (ex: with 337 elemental mastery, u'll get 53.9% bonus damage with melt and vaporize, while getting 129,2% bonus with the transformative ones - there is your crit, without needing a crit build); 2. the "amplifying" reaction's bonus damage is applied to the specific elemental hit that triggered it (so it will show only one dmg value), while the "transformative" bonus will be apllied as a second hit, which means the triggering elemental hit's damage (that CAN crit AND do scale with other stats), although displayed separatedly, MUST be taken in consideration to calculate that combo/reaction's total damage. That being said, in my personal experience, they are pretty much similar when correctly built, so that's not really a good "pro technique".

Every attack, terrain will have a set amount element applied to character. When the cumulated number reach certain threshold, it becomes an element ailment. I would like to speculate the same system is tied to elemental shield (except geo shield)

For the Childe Boss fight. If you get hit by any of his skills and have his corresponding elemental debuff, just go to the side of the arena to proc a pyro + electro/hydro reaction. It removes the targeting buff and leaves it where you stood whilst triggering the reaction.

The cooldown on applying reactions explains a lot. Half the time I'm wondering why my skills are doing nothing, so it's because they're just flat out not allowed to keep reacting. As for the dash jump thing, I really wish the game would be balanced to avoid these issues. Stamina and speed should be the same for ALL characters, there should be no way around it. It's like they don't even care about balance and think gameplay is secondary. But then again a lot of the controls in the game are sloppy, so they probably just don't even notice when something as critical as gameplay is affected by their design choices. As long as hp bars are high it's good enough to keep people spending money and farming more gear.

Basic rule is that the same skill from the same cast or auto attack will have internal cooldown. However if the game consider it a different cast (such as E skill with two charges) or a different skill entirely then the element will apply. Childe's C4 apply a separate hydro from his normal Riptide effects as an example. Of course there is sort of an universal cooldown to prevent the same element being applied twice and during elemental reaction, it's about 1 second.

I agree, if scroll down as you mash the pickup button allows you to pick up items a little bit faster but I can loot a ton of drops by just holding one button within a 1-2 sec. I play on my PC but use a DS4 controller with steam. On steam I just bind RT+X with X (pickup) and RS (scroll). Then turn on cycle binding and repeat under activator settings. So now I just hold this button, in my case the RT+X, and it pickup then scroll down every item. It cycles between pickup and scroll down buttons in a very very fast and precise way that it can tag all the drops within 1-2 seconds, maybe an extra second if you use a condensed resin on an artifact domain. Although, this method can also interact with anything else nearby and might make you activate something by mistake, so be careful. For example: I sometimes activate a nearby fire when there are alot of drops near it; usually because Venti pulls all the enemies and drops into one place I think you can do it with a keyboard macro or Autohotkey but I play with a controller and use steam to do it. TL;DR: You just need a keyboard macro, Autohotkey, controller or something that activates one pickup and one scroll down on repeat, and you can loot everything nearby within 2 sec. It's very fast way of looting everything.

you know you can still hit him during that right? just deal damage AND avoid taking it at the same time. that's why skill I-frames are superior. You don't just dodge with skills, you also do something else as the animations go off

the biggest help for me when fighting fatui/bosses is just knowing how they attack. like how you know the electro cube does 3 consecutive attacks that go in a straight line so just dodge it then the electro cube just stands still and thats the time when you spam pyro. the pyro regisvine where the attacks you just gotta watch out for are the straight and the circular one but after that it just like stands still most of the time so spam hydro/cryo for vaporize and also maybe use electro for overload. the geo cube when he does the rapid fire attack at you just hide behind its own pillars and it'll help do damage onto itself lmao. overall just knowing how to dodge and utilizing the elemental reactions is a way to defeat enemies without having to think abt alot of stuff

This was a great video, very useful stuff to note. Ive known a good amount of these tips playing myself too. To add to the Invincible frames tip, the beginning of your dash has a small window of I. E. Frames as well. If you time it right, you dodge most attacks that don't linger for very long even if the attack itself hits your character. However managing your dash-dodge and charge attacks is a separate skill in its own that can take time to get used to of your using characters that utilize your stamina gauge like Klee or jean

I killed lvl 90 Childe with lvl 20 Amber solo. Rust + any artifact you want. Took about 1hr 40min. 2nd phase is hardest phase due to dashes. Go be a pro and do itttttt

I definitely use dash cancelling as fun dashing around. I often use dashes to cancel high recovery times like on the 4th hit of a claymore user. You can also chain the E skill to follow up the end combo hit then dash out of that recoil too. Mouse wheel looting is also a great way to keep moving.

There are also a lot. In swirl, you have- 1. The difference between swirl and elemental infusion. 2. Elemental priority during an infusion. Meanwhile, there is also the elemental prowess specific to different characters. It determines how long the elemental status will stay on an enemy cast by certain characters. For instance, Bennet's pyro application is higher than Yoimiya's, so, if he applies pyro on the enemy, it will stay longer than Yoimiya. It will also shred elemental shields faster than yoi. And don't get me started with the Dendro reactions..

Another thing differentiating pro and noobs is strategizing your team comp. Whether it is a quick swipe elemental team or even Geo unga-bunga, you should strategize your attack pattern to have the maximum dmg output.

Already know them all except wheel of fortune because I'm a mobile user. If there's one advice I could give, I mean you guys already listed almost all of them, it would be memorizing the elemental skill cooldowns of your characters based on the normal attacks of your DPS. It works very well with Diluc. Also that there's some boss skill that could be dodged even though you are still within their attack range like lupus boreas' claw attack. Some boss skills, even though timed right, still hit you when within their range like lupus boreas' claw attack that creates an ice field around him. So to dodge that is just to go out of his range completely.

Each character has internal cooldown on double dash. You can go around by switching character after each double dash. But doing this doesn't reset cooldown on each character, so you will have to wait after doing it 4 times.

elemental status is applied 1 time every 6 seconds from the source that is true however you can SPREAD elemental reactions from other enemies and they have no cooldown for that type of application. like if 1 enemy gets a flame reaction and you use a animeo character to hit with wind attacks non stop the flames create a Burst reaction which applies the flame effect over and over to nearby enemies without a cooldown. you can test this against the big guys with the wooden shields as the fire will bounce back and forth from shield to its wielder with each wind attack until the shield itself is destroyed by the flames. melt, vaporize..... SWIRL, OVERLOAD, FROZEN, CRYSTALIZE, and BURST. melt is the only one that lowers enemies base stats vaporize reduces enemies damage swirl does additional damage based on the triggering persons elemental boost overload does does damage based on the first applied elemental boost frozen CC and lowers defense crystalize drops shards which applies a short term shield based on a % or your total HP Burst does aoe damage and spreads the fire element to nearby enemies. better way to keep yourself alive... git gud. there should never be a situation that you can't avoid being hit, it just requires knowing where to stand and when to move and don't just rush in to attack all the time. somtimes leaving behind something like OZ to do the damage for you while you stand way back and avoid being in range is the best. a character that can snipe can be very valuable if you know how to use them.

Characters like Sucrose and Xingqiu, Their E skill produce burst orbs, If you have characters like childe who has a slow ult up or just want your dps to have faster ult refill, they are especially useful. I have Sucrose with Diluc and Xinqiu with Childe for faster ult time.

recently i tried a full elemental damage burst combo on my team (qiqi, xiangling, beidou, childe), was not disappointed in the damage output. qiqi's E, then beidou's Q then xiangling's Q and childe's E. works wonders on bosses (not explosive damage due to average ele mastery)

I find when an enemy jumps, it's just better to run towards them without using any stamina. Also, I usually cancel out Claymore users standard attacks by dodging since it takes a while for them to recover. Though, I guess people already knew these lol
