Honest opinion from owner of Z71 for 24 months......... No diff locker limits hardcore offload capabilities compared to most of the competition. Engine is more agricultural than the competition (noisy), but with noticeably more torque than Toyota and Nissan at least. Decals on the bonnet will fade, and look s#!t, as will the sidesteps. Front seats aren't very supportive and feel very flat. Interior plastics are mostly scratchy and hard plastic. rear tray on dusty roads provides ABSOLUTELY NO dust protection. Aircon is either freezing your A$$ off or frying your bacon. No in between. No warranty issues otherwise. Regular consumption around the 9 -10 l/100klm.

My thoughts are that unless you intend to go hard core 4 wheel driving the limited diff is safer and more practical option for all driving conditions a positive thing. The engine does get a little noisy under load but in general is quiet otherwise. My decals and side steep faded after the first wash, WTF I thought, Read the manual don’t use any WAX on the decals or plastics a quick wipe off with windex and the decals come up like new and still look good. Aircon works great if left on climate control all the time why wouldn’t you, No way does the Temp get to hot or cold ever in my Colorado. For $60 you can buy stick on rubber seals for the tail gate stops the dust getting in cheap easy fix.

@@iancrocker381 I bought myself a 2019 Colorado and love it to bits, great vehicle!! and totally agree, I'd rather a LSD that I can use 100% of the time than a diff lock that you probably use only 5% of the time if you lucky...

I dont have problems with mine. I heard that was just one batch of engines coming out of one of many factories. But i could be wrong ?

Pretty sure that was around 2014 they had oil use issues. We have them at work and they seem pretty good. No problems that I'm aware of.

The Colorado from 2017 onwards is a different car altogether than the previous 2012-2016 models that had issues which has affected the sales of 2017- 2020 updated models. People like to fit in and feel inclusive so choose the same cars the majority tend to buy without doing any research. For the money these are great utes.
