My take from the preseason games isn't on the team so much, it's the fan base. With the recent post season struggles, the fan base is an unstable powder keg just waiting for week one. Frustration with the tackle position, QB1 debate, and a dislike for Meyers and tomlin growing each week, it's going to be hard to get through that first game keeping the fans happy. And we're not even talking about the receiver group. Just winning won't be enough. Fans are going to want 30 points and I'm not sure the offense can deliver that.

Here are my five: 1. Agreed Wilson is the starter, undisputed in my view 2. The WR room needs an upgrade. Jefferson is #2 only default. The necessity for diverse passing play calling options, specifically against teams like KC, Cincinnati, Buffalo, Houston, et al, makes it peremptory. 3. The OL depth is problematic . Moore, McCormick and Anderson are playable, but only just. I saw a lot of guys impersonating NFL OL wearing steelers uniforms 4. Herbig's ascension may allow the FO to trade Highsmith 5. Trice groin injury is worrisome. The lack of depth in the defensive backfield particularly in the slot, is jarring.

We ARE NOT trading Alex Highsmith dude. You can forget that BS right now. It's like yall don't actually understand the fact that injuries are extremely common in football. And let's remember Nick Herbig has NEVER even played a full game against starters yet. And there's a league wide drought of good OL in just about every NFL locker room. What did you think 1st or 2nd yr OLineman was supposed to look like? Trent Williams? 😂

Agreed with most. They can’t really move Highsmith due to the financial dead cap hit they’d get this season…but next season just maybe…depending what move they make at QB and WR.
