i love how Lamer stompped on all Josh's stats in college, but yet Josh got the benefit of "looking" the part. Not only did he go higher in the draft, but he got paid off his rookie contract first - all while Lamar had an MVP under his belt. The insurmountable expectations you have to overcome just to get equal consideration - while being better at everything - is always on display, clearly, in sports. While i am happy that Lamar spanks all 31 teams that passed on him in the draft, I wish his path was not so intentionally littered with biases and obstacles that could have derailed him.

I agree but I think God had this planned out perfectly for him.
@number1chiefROKKAАй бұрын
@ nah, I am passed “what my enemies planned for my demise god had for my glory”. It’s ridiculous and an affront to the drafting process that Lamar surpassed EVERY metric in qb play over Josh and he got drafted higher and paid first. Lamar is fortunate that he went to a team that let him be “Lamar”. But that is ONE out of 32, and even Baltimore passed on him once. There is no silver lining for me anymore. Zero.

@ I hate and love trolls. So I’ll be your huckleberry. How did Josh look a few games ago when Lamar pimp slapped Buffalo? Yeah, the same buffalo that said they didn’t need Diggz’s because Josh was the man and could carry the team. Oh, who then went out, after that massacre by Lamar, and got Cooper for Allen, from Cleveland, because Josh actually needed help. And is this the same Allen who threw so many pics last year that they had to fire their offensive coordinator, took the ball out of Allen’s hand and THEN they started winning? And since Lamar has the highest active winning percentage of any qb AND has the most perfect qbr games - in league history - with four AND has two MVP’s you surely are not going to type that bull💩with a straight face!?! By no metric, as a qb, is Josh, nor has Josh, been better than Lamar - ever. Even after getting his azz waxed by Lamar - THIS SEASON - you lames still recite feelings over facts. I love numbers and reality. But I must admit, your level of thinking is what got him drafted over Lamar so there is, unfortunately some twisted validity to operating in a delusional realm.

Lamar tossed 36 TDs to only 6 INTs & was the most efficient _passer_ in 2019 becoming MVP in a league with Tom Brady & Aaron Rodgers just on his passing ability. In '21 Roman got 16 (less than half) & 13 (more than double) & everyone insisted Lamar was just an over-rated RB. Does anyone say that about Josh Allen or Trevor Lawrence? Nope. How is about race when there have been multiple mobile black qb’s. Don’t get me wrong I didn’t like the hate he got and have become a ravens fan due that hate. But I don’t think race is involved at all.

Big powerhouse schools often hinder the quarterback’s ability to win games when things aren’t going their way. That’s why I feel it’s crucial to understand a quarterback who’s at a small school and competitive, compared to a powerhouse school qb that leads his team to a national championship.

Thank god Lamar was not drafted before 32, most of the other franchises (like jets and browns) wouldn’t have developed him properly

Lamar Jackson is the J Cole of NFL quarterbacks. He’s one of the best. He can do it all. He’s as good if not better than your favorite. He’s also severely under appreciated and hated on, even for reasons others get praised for on occasion. *And he keeps getting better each year*

One of my favorite QB draft classes ever. I remember all the drama surrounding it. It feels so weird watching old clips of analysts talking about Lamar playing WR with a straight face. It almost feels like it should be AI. Lamar Jackson?? Wide receiver??? Feels so odd

Lamar’s pre draft process was unlike anything I remember seeing. People fretted about all kinds of absurd things from completion percentage to his mechanics. He was barely under 60% and had no talent around him. His upper body mechanics have been literally perfect since his debut at Louisville. He just learned to take a wider stance w: his base and boom became significantly more accurate. Amazing he fell as far as he did!
@eddiewinehosen6665Ай бұрын
Afaik one of the few analysts that had him high before the draft was Chris Simms.

The Ravens used their first round pick on a TE named Hayden Hurst, who couldn't win playing time over their third round pick, Mark Andrews, and has played for multiple teams. They traded back into the first to pick Jackson with the Eagles first round pick.

The biggest weapon Lamar Jackson has is that he works and he works hard. He's always conditioning and working on his craft now his throwing is at the level of his leg or close to it. I guess NFL scouts don't care about work ethic, and decided to brand Lamar Jackson as something he's not.

Lamar threw for over 3500 yards twice in college. We can ignore the 1600 rushing. 3500 yards passing is really good. I dont get the he cant pass angle. Payton Manning didnt throw for 3500 yards until he was a senior. Lamar did it when he was 19.
@OwedDebtАй бұрын
Lamar was throwing the ball like crazy while at Louisville but his "tan" blinded people. All they saw was a runner. Same ol' NFL playbook when it comes to QB's. Allen's resume and college was not as impressive as Jackson's and plus Allen had controversy in his past that was conveniently left out of this video.👀
