Studies have shown that when learning a new skill daily tasks vs weekly tasks (eg. 5mins everyday vs 2 hours once a week), daily practice is significantly better for learning especially for anything that requires physical movement like scratching. it's also shown that across ALL learning if you sleep within 4 hours after any study/learning it has a significant boost in learning. learning linear/logical learning is best in the morning but creative learning is best at night. So adding just 10mins everyday on the turntables maybe after dinner would have the biggest benefits if you want to optimise your learning ability. I do this most days running drills, and also have a 1-2 hours on a weekend when I'm just having fun with it.

Thanks for dropping this knowledge. I know lots of people who struggle getting the daily practice in, but I definitely believe in the studies and that’s what worked for me (consistently doing little bits at a time). Glad you’re able to get that time in 💪🏾

Appreciate you 🙏🏾🙏🏾 I would recommend someone take about 3-5 months to go through it and practice and then do tons of practice afterwards using the drills and breakdowns.

Any video with rekordbox and phase ? Why ? Rekordbox too bad on scratch and latency ?

I actually will be making a video soon using Rekordbox for the first time with a XDJ RX3 - I want to compare it to serato too

how do you get a crowd to sing along to a song
@DJLiftOFF Жыл бұрын
Takes a bit of emcee skills to get people going, or if it’s extremely popular, you can mute the track during phrases everyone typically sings a long during.
