If you get a Stage 1 tune from IE or APR, it has true launch control. The launch you're referring to is a trans brake, and it disables to protect your transmission.

Personally I’ve always liked the way black rims look on any car. So that’s an option. Definitely now that I got window tint it makes it look a lot better. And from there any mods like a grille or a new bumper or even lowering the car an inch would make you enjoy looking at your car alot more

If you lookin for wheels. Check out rohanas. I work at discount tire and there’s a s5 that got rohanas on. Probably some of the cleanest aftermarket wheels I seen for Audi

You can code in apple carplay and android auto. I know audi says it can’t on 2016 models but I did it in mine and it works so just check some guy who can do it for you and it’ll work. Also it’s a comfortable luxury long cruiser kind of a car. It’s not really a car that you modify (certainly not one where you remove the seats because the car is too heavy). You should’ve gotten something different that suited your needs better in my opinion.

How about some neon underglow lights, chrome rims, lighted valve stem caps, carbon fiber wrap the whole car and put an LS motor in it. It's a luxury car with a lot to extra additions than the car you're actually trying to make it to be, taking the seat out WTF weight reduction, man I miss need for speed , you can do all of that on the game and let the car be

I’ve had to replace 2 engine mounts and a control arm. I also replaced the water pump but that was in the very beginning when I first bought it so the dealer replaced it for free

Hey Adhemar, i have Got a A7 2012 3.0tfsi, if i Press the brake pedal hard, & floor the gas pedal it goes to 4000rpm? I dont know how long i Can hold it, but why are yours only at 2000/2500rpm? And about the engine cover, buy the one from a 2012 model, it Will fit and you Can see the supercharger with a clean look!

I think it’s probably the way that they made the 2016 and up models. Probably like a safety feature or something. And yeah i was think I could do that but I didn’t know if it would fit my supercharger. But I think I might do that now

In my A6 I had to press and hold ESC off for a few seconds until it truly turns it off and then it will allow a launch.. Just pressing it once is a half way mode.

I appreciate this review! Many of the things that bug you wouldn’t bug someone who is looking to use it as a daily non-race build. From your opinions on the weight, and aesthetics, seems there were much better cars for you to personally buy. I wouldn’t ever look into heavy class luxury cars for the needs you need. Definitely many other lighter options you should’ve went with. As for someone like me, this would be an awesome daily driver for typical driving.

I have another to add to your list…. There is a volume knob on the steering wheel but NOT buttons to advance to next track or station!… this is only done with buttons on the center console meaning you have to drop a hand off the steering wheel to skip tracks etc….. I hate that! EVERY CAR has both volume and arrow buttons! Whew. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest. 😂

On steering star button you can set up for next song but no way for previous it works for only Bluetooth. Carplay you need to take hands off from steering. And Bose audio in A7 🤮🤮

The Bose bass is very disappointing…. So… I took a heat gun and fitted an 8” higher wattage speaker with a large magnet (of course) and added an alpine amp to drive it using the Bose bass box speaker leads. MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT…. Highly recommend

Stupid question...but have you got it in dynamic mode ? If not, then it won't launch properly. In dynamic you should have to switch off the auto engine stop function.

You're doing your launch control wrong fam lol. Turn off the automatic handbrake lol. My launch control revs up to 3,200 RPM on a stock 2016 A7. You're definitely doing something wrong I never get any issues with my launch control

Also you can do launch control in Manual mode as long as you set it to dynamic first. I found launching it in manual is much faster because it redlines. On sports mode it doesn't always redline which is mad annoying

Most of the weight is from the all wheel drive, not the monocoque. The monocoque is mostly aluminum alloy and is actually a lighter shell than the A4 and A5.
