Not sure how i could have made it more clear in the video that i love this truck. Quit complaining in the comment section about me "complaining". This is a popular series on KZbin. I made the video because i knew it would get views.

Chris John Michael The one before this one is my favorite. That looks like a beefy truck. This? Looks sorta like a fan-made concept. The new one is way out there. It's slowly growing on me but it's strange lol... It's definitely not a loved design. No clue if they did any sort of sample groups to see how the design would be received. I mean comments like yours are all over and they're always the highest upvoted. It's a really strange design. I have no clue what they're thinking. Glad I got my Colorado before they decide to completely change that too...

For me personally, I would like it if the Child Safety window restraint lock system went on all four Windows, the only reason why I say that is I have a dog that knows how to roll down the windows using that button. she does that all the time in the front while I'm driving in the rain. My Mazda CX-7 locks all four windows it makes me happy. Another simple fix and programming on Chevy part

The power windows not going up automatically is a safety feature. If someone was in backseat and has arm in window or hand and you had auto up on your controls what do you think the end result could be?
@coolsquad7428

The fuel deactivation is that on all gm trucks. I just got a new Tahoe and I felt what your saying. My old 02 Tahoe don’t feel like that. Oh the windows it’s a safety issue. If they are auto in the back and let’s say you have a small child playing around sticks his head out the window and you auto up. See where I’m going with this. Anyways good video. 👍🏻

What you say makes sense... however my Toyota Highlander Limited AWD SUV has Auto Up/Down windows on all four windows.... love it. Perhaps they have some sort of sensor that will reverse the windows down if they encounter resistance (of say a hand or head)...... much like a garage door does?? Never tried it.
@nesco7615
@nesco7615 6 жыл бұрын
tgilldesign hey forgot to say truck looks beast. And how is that deactivation working out. I want to get that. Where did you get it and is it easy to install?? Oh and I do get the point of the windows. The reason I said that about the rear windows. My pops when I was about ten. I was helping him back his Buick into a parking spot. I’m 40 now so it’s been a while. Anyways. I stuck my head out the back window to tell him keep going. At the same time my mom starting busting his balls about backing up into the spot. So when he parked ,he started to put up the back windows. I still had my head sticking out. So I was being choked. People in the parking lot ran to tell my pops you killing your kid you asshole. Anyways. Me and my dad we laugh about that now. But he felt so bad when it happen. Just thought I share the story.

Dumbass why would your kid not be in a seatbelt, you see where I’m going with this, Toyota has auto up and down on all four windows and it’s a 2010, the only thing I hate about my 2017 Chevy Silverado is that there’s a fucking key, can we get rid of the fucking key already!

If you are looking to "disable" the active fuel management system try shifting the truck in the your LOAD gear's, Use the +/- toggle on the shifter and select how many gears you would like the transmission to cycle through. This will not only solve your "problem" but it will also save the hundred of dollars you wasted on that plug in.

The square tops on the fender wells are not a restriction on tire size. The reason your tires rub is because of the rim off set you are running. I run 33x12.5-22 Toyo Open country MT on factory rims on my 2018 with 2.5 leveling kit no rubbing at all. Love this body style . This year model is selling for as much or more than the new body style used with similar miles and condition.

Very minor complaint, but the door handles inside the truck feel like the cheapest, hollow, piece of PLASTIC you could find to use. Because they are... Check your window seals, my truck has a thousand miles on it and rain leaks in like a sieve. I have read that this is normal that is why they have the drain holes in the bottom of the doors. I think that is an unacceptable point of view. 2018 Silverado 1500 crew cab short bed. I have also found the paint job on the inside of the door jams to be inferior, big paint bubbles. I love my truck but I find that there are several quality issues. Maybe that is why you can get a brand new 18 Silverado crew cab all star with a 14,000 dollar discount off of Msrp.

AFM... with my intake, exhaust upgrades, upgraded throttle body and added SuperChip, I'm pushing 500HP with noticeable improvement on the transmission shifting while getting 21.7 MPG on the freeway if I keep it under 80mph.. The chip made all the difference in the transmission shifting, it also eliminated the governor which was my biggest complaint. Awesome truck.

Then I will be doing the AFM delete. It sucks that they couldnt fix the problem in 2007 when they knew there was an issue. But i guess if they don't fix it then people will buy more vehicles. 2013 was when they fixed the issue

You know society is FAILING when a young kids has a $50,000 truck, and he is making a video of things that suck on it. REALLY!!!! My first vehicle was an orange 1977 Buick Le Sabre, ugliest thing on wheels and I was grateful to just have a vehicle, even if it was a p.o.s. The vein and shallow vanity I see in many KZbin vids is unsettling. Generation (spoiled). That's all.

You are so right. My first car at the time was a really old 71 nova that had the trunk smashed in from an accident. It had two towing lights fixed to the trunk lid and a bungee chord holding the trunk closed. It literally caught fire while i was fueling at a gas station. I pushed it off to the side and left it there. I was 18 and would been happy just to have a reliable car that didnt catch fire

They added the cylinder activation because it is used for fuel economy. I personally own a 2019 Chevy 1500. I kept it on and tested it and I was able to get 45 MPG with it on and 39 with it off. Its up to what you want. If I had a option I would keep it on and there has been times I wanted it off like off roading.

I get the cylinder deactivation, its annoying but it gets better with miles. My 16 Denali has it and other than the green v4 light coming on you barely know it has switched to 4 cylinder mode. The window thing would be a convenience yes, but that's a safety feature. Having 4 kids I can live with rolling a window up instead of smashing their fingers or worse (used to you pushed down to roll a window up until a few kids killed themselves by rolling the windows up on their necks). As for fuel mileage, well big wheels dont help. But I've learned over the years that the way I drive effect my fuel mileage, I can get 14-15mpg or mid 18s to low 20 mpg. Granted I have a 6.2 now but all my previous trucks were z71s with the 5.3

30 years in Land Surveying Silverado’s have been the backbone of our fleet. Overall they have been fine.... they sit lower stock than the D and F. We like that because we work out of the side of canopies to access our equipment and goodies. When got the 2014 I loved the refresh. We kind of abused it letting it idle on the sides of roadways while surveying and I know the oil changes were not done religiously by that crew. So that one ended up having issues with the torque converter and it shifted from 8 to 4 with a thud. That one is now gone. We got two 2017 ‘s with the new look front end and the LED lighting and they have been good. We got a 2019 Trailboss that I drive for my crew truck and so far she has been good.... tailgate has no handle, and is thin! Looks like a Tundra but we get lots of compliments from contractors, Customs Officers, kids lol We just got a 2021 Trailboss, just like my 2019.... look like twins except the new one has buckets, console, and heated seats..... too new to comment on. My personal rig is a stock 2015 Silverado Z71 LTZ and I absolute fucking love it! I have had a couple minor recalls that were computer related and and exhaust gasket leak underneath the cab that made a whistle on acceleration. Mine is black and the paint scratches easily so I have my own mitt for washing and never use a car wash scrubber on it. I only have 46k on mine and zero issues so far... it is always garaged unless out on camping and fishing trips. I tow small lake boats and custom fly fishing boats on top with 3 Yakima racks. Dented my roof with the cab rack.. too much muscle lol so be careful! I camp out of mine like a camper.... coolers, fishing gear, tents, pop ups, rods, tools, trolling batteries and motors, water jugs, gas cans.... etc lots of room for me. I have a Snugtop Aero Canopy on it... looks like a Tahoe lol! Cheers
