Many thanks for the video. I think the design of the Ibiza is great - makes the Polo look incredibly boring by comparison! I'm probably going to purchase a new/nearly new Ibiza 115 FR Sport in the same colour as yours. The one concern I have (after watching and reading numerous reviews!) is that both the heating and air con are very weak. Can you confirm whether this is the case?

I have one from September 2020 in (Desire) red. Absolutely love it and think it’s a wonderful little car to drive. The fake exhausts are both nice to look at and infuriating at the same time haha. Overall, I do love the car though!

You should consider installing coilovers on your car. I've installed KW street comfort in my Ibiza KJ, and its drastically the car handling. and this coilover model can be tuned for more stiff or less.

Hey, unfortunatly the coilovers for the 6f are rather pricey, so not possible at the moment... But yeah i have coils on the MX5 and love the custmization.

I will admit I am from Holland and I have the Ibiza. I also wanted the black headliner. I ordered the parts from the exellece trim. In 2018 there were standard black. I only ordered the parts en replaced it myself.. costs.....€1700,- and a day of work with a friend. But we aren't there yet... Now at 2019 models is STANDARD black on the FR. Fuckkkk. Hahaha. One happy side, it is a one of a kind! Love the dynamic blinker upgrade and I will do it next month! Enjoy your Ibi mate!

I have the Ibiza FR Sport and when I turn it on, the instrument cluster does not animate like yours. Did that come standard on yours?

Do you have the 1.0 or the 1.5 engine? If you do have the 1.0. Do you find it sounding 'unhappy' at high revs?

@@SplodgeMotors Thanks for the fast reply. Weird man... Mine seems to be rattling a lil bit when I exceed 4500 rpm in like 1 2 and 3rd gear. 4th and 5th is fine tho. I don't understand hahah ;D

The sound dampening is damn good. Take a db meter (a solid reliable one) and measure it against its rivals. You will see that it rarely exceeds 70 db (usually less) for a weight metering on 140 km/h (almost 90 mph?). Vs the polo etc? Identical. Open the door panels, no difference (no dampening inside but it's not there where the cost should go: It's door seals and door gaps in general, triple or more layer windshield. The ibiza is as good as anything out there). For reference a bmw 5 series e60 was at around 67-70 db. Good enough for them good enough for a roundabout car. What you do hear is wind mostly on the highway. Engine and road is very well insulated. So you have to hear something. If that targets your ear and you are more sensitive in those frequencies, it will annoy you. But it's not the car faults. In fact it being lightweight and with good sound deadening it's actually very relaxing to travel, it actually is not bass heavy or treble heavy in it's produced noise when it rolls and I appreciate that on a car. The only things I would agree with you is that the roof lining should be of better quality and the dual exhausts just look cool and then...they are fake. Agghh. But everybody is doing it. So much so that seat even added a chrome line uniting them (it looks cooler still fake!).

You can change the suspension if you spec for the dual mode dampers, just like the polo. AND I'd advise against it if it were of a great replacement cost. I mean, insignia, astra, audi...from 800 to 1500 just for shock absorbers is quite a bit much for every day cars.

Suspension adjustments is an extra option to take, atleast here in Holland it is.

I have a 21 plate Arona FR which is basically the same as yours but a bit taller. The thing that I really dislike is that there is no option for wireless Android auto or carplay. Everytime you get in the car you have to plug the USB cable in and remember to take your phone out the car when you park up

Remembered one of your bugbears being the cream headlining - I too have an FR Sport (19 plate) and agree that it really takes away from the sporty cabin. Looks as though you get a black headlining with the MY20 car as seen a 70-plate one with black. So annoying!!!! ☹

I don't think they make one that has the holes cut. The one in the video is just the standard FR one

Suspension is good, not rough at all, maybe a little soft but it is comfy. Engine performance is very good, pulls nicely through uo to about 5k

have had the 1.0 fr tsi 17 plate for nearly a year now. enjoying it so far. but one thing annoys me is the engine idle ticking noise,can be really loud when you first start it up.is this normal for these cars. the seat dealership said this is normal.

Never driven one, heard its a hit or miss engine, spoke to a couple of people they say its not overly revy but makes good power on a map 180 ish

I'd suggest painting the exhaust tips black. It would hide them and not make them standout from the rear. Or just use wrappings on them. My Ibiza is coming next month.

on my seat Ibiza fr 2017 technology, theirs 10 buttons in the center just above the gear stick. on mine most of the buttons are blank. i only have windscreen demist lock and unlock. if it would be a higher speck im sure they would be full off stuff.
