David Your the only machinist videographer I know of you show a different view of life coming from the perspective of a working person like myself who does photography as a hobby. And yes you do inspire me to get out with my video camera as well as digital camera and take pictures

Great tips for people that do vlogs or take video's of their day....I don't do any of that, not even on my phone...but I enjoy watching people that take the effort that do

Great points David. Experience can be a painful and expensive teacher in all aspects of life. I don’t shoot much video but already learned a mini lesson about sound. I now own an inexpensive shotgun mike. It’s a huge improvement over the on camera mic. If I’m going to make any videos I’ll need to upgrade that and grab a lav mic like you’re using. As someone who was just trolled on Reddit I can appreciate your point about not taking things too seriously. I’m sure you’ve experienced that here too and it’s a point which needs to be remembered by anyone who posts.

I hear you loud and clear. Audio does make the video as strange as that is. The shotgun mic has it’s place which is why I still have mine. I just prefer the lav mic for the freedom it affords. Thank you John

Awesome tips, I liked that you showed what you were talking about...stepping in and out of the light, showing the brightly lit wall that you used to brighten up your face and the tip I liked the most was where you did the dull commentary showing that you need to be having fun and liking what you're doing or it will show up in your video.
