Keim I’ll say there is two things I’m concerned about as a commanders fan. 1. Our roster needs 1 or 2 really strong off free agency and draft to compete with the eagles or possibly. Need OL, WR, CB, DL . That’s a lot of positions to address. Our biggest addition so far is an injured Lattimore. That historically don’t play more than 10 games a season. 2. The eagles have young and talented player and will only get more because they probably have the best GM in the league. So concerned might not be till 2026 when we become a dominate team

I think to become that sustainable contender it could take this offseason and next. Definite work that needs to be done. But i don't think it's a problem if they don't become a "dominant team" until 2026. That's a hard place to get to. They had a lot that went well for them this season; but they can also become a more complete team this offseason -- and Daniels will improve. Agree on the Eagles; that's a good and talented young roster. But again never know what each year brings -- can Barkley be that good again? Hard to duplicate. They'll have some contract decisions to make as well. But, yeah, it's a terrific front office so not only competing with the on-field talent they're also going head-to-head with right now the best FO in the league.

So far Washington has been judicious with their signings sticking to short term reasonably priced contracts. I don't see them going for some of the deals floating around the internet sending massive contracts and multiple draft picks to get big name players. I think they will continue to go for quality veterans in the upper mid to lower high tier talent level that will fit into the culture they are building.

Super Bowl result proves Oline priority for Commanders. Especially interior. Need a massive-and multifaceted TE like Darnell Washington to dampen Eagles D-line edge.

That Super Bowl taught me we need Ronnie Stanley & Myles Garrett. Goal is to beat this Eagles offensive & defensive lines.

Don't trade draft picks for old players
@mikecarter51628 сағат бұрын
We need Greenlaw, or Bolton. We need Ward or Reed. We Higgins or Godwin. We Stanley or OT from Browns. Maybe trade Allen get DT from Dallas. We need a game changer at edge

Go get sweat and baun free agents from the eagles get Myles Garrett. Cb reed and that offensive line from Baltimore

Why would the Browns wait for the trade deadline, which means the value will go down a little bit for Garrett...The dude will sit out which means you won't get anything out of him anyways.. Might as well make the move before the draft.
@johnkeim4748Сағат бұрын
Wouldn't necessarily go down; all depends on how many teams think they want/need him. At that point the list of "contenders" might be longer than how Garrett views it now... Another team would still have for 1.5 years at least... But just laying out scenarios, that's all. I agree it would make more sense before the draft, but if Cle thinks it can work out an extension to keep him then it might wait. Nobody knows and the Browns are adamant now that they're not trading him.

I'd sign Mack and Sweat and avoid Garrett while keeping my two number one picks. Big trades for older players is what George Allen did and he never won a championship. We have cap space for free agents so why should we trade away our picks?
@escaped1534Сағат бұрын
Yea, poor Allen had to play the undefeated Dophins without his HOF QB! Sucked..!

Maybe it is our DC that's not any good and his schemes that are terrible and not the players
@chadsamuels65129 сағат бұрын
Garret is good but we do have Luvu who fills the garret role. Garret > Luvu but dont think draft capital spent justifies this.
@johnkeim4748Сағат бұрын
I'd look at it this way: Imagine Luvu and Garrett. Way more impactful. Becomes a defense built to take advantage of a lead. Will be an interesting discussion because it always depends on how much capital. What if it's 'just' two No. 1s? Would you rather have two picks (possibly) in the late 20s or one Garrett? But for now the price tag is very much unknown -- and there are people who definitely think this leads to an extension making any discussion a moot point.

To pass on Cooper dejean and get sanderstill and McCaffrey and sennot instead is a crappie move by Adam peters. Get up and get difference makers. Trade up do something we got the qb do not pull rivera moves
@johnkeim4748Сағат бұрын
Still a ways to go. McCaffrey and Sinnott were not productive enough, but see how they develop. Might look much better after next season IF one or both of those two become quality starters. (Of course, it could look like it does now if they dont)
