Hello Domi!!! Your crown is amazingly beautiful!!! I have just began my lock journey about 9 months ago. I've grown to love my lock journey more each day. I keep in mind a phrase from another KZbinr " the digital loctician" My hair keeps me from places where I shouldn't be. Hold your head up high because being authentically you is beautiful. I appreciate you for your advice, inspiration , humor and good vibes. Peace and blessings King.

1 year freeform got my last haircut about this time last year, started by washing in circular motion in the beginning. Had 360 waves. I remember I did my first couple separations about month 10 cuz the top of my head got thick Congo’s that were webbin together and I felt so bad afterwards 😂 But I’m way more chill bout it now and I’ve been embracing them coming together. I’m 25 and work at a hospital as a tech and I’m actually surprised at how many compliments I get but I feel like people think I’m some sort of exotic ting. Lol white peoples like it and say they wish they hair could do that 🤣

Preciate the video. I’m headed to the barbershop tomorrow and then I’ll be starting my freeform journey. I found a shampoo bar soap that has jojoba, coconut, olive, castor oil, tea tree, peppermint and eucalyptus oil in it all together. I’m looking forward to growing my new crown. No matter how it turns out I’m going to be ready because I won’t be separating. With my hair type I noticed my locs in the beginning were thick so I separated them but as they matured they tightened up and became really thin. So no separating this time for me!!

@@jdoe3593 it’s Trader Joe’s peppermint and tea tree shampoo bar. I did a little more research since I posted this comment and I’ve decided to use Dr. Bronners pure castile bar soap instead because of one small ingredient that’s included compared to the other one I just mentioned. They’re both good imo and before I discovered them I was originally using Alaffia african black soap.

I’ve been journaling my growth from a tapered fade to what I have now at almost 16 months. Maybe it’ll help with understanding, and patience with the hair growth cuz it took almost a year for mine to start locing, and at first it seemed like my hair was at a standstill too. That is until I looked back at my videos, picture and etc. these videos, how to me see what really went on versus what my mind and impatience was telling me. Needless to say… My mind was playing tricks on me. Be patient.

attempting free forms, i have the hair texture ive let me hair do its thing before and it did loc up, but ive watched too much videos, idk if i should twist my hair and let it lock from there? Or start with a sponge? My hair is a lol long about a little past my ear towards my neck , its just curly and shit so idk how to START i know the process but idk where to start sponge or twists? I feel like twists is better for dreads, and sponge better for free forms ? Idk man need ur help

I’m going to go ahead and share with you my thoughts before even watching your video Brotha. I’ve been on the train for a while now wanting locks’ but haven’t gone with em at all do to my scalp itching-ness and I end up cutting/shaving my hair off every time. But this year im going for it and letting it grow out all year long. I know I won’t have enough length to play with since my hair grows out (Afro style) real sloooow! But screw it im going for it! Now, since im going for 🧽/free form dreads’ I would like to know what I can do to keep my scalp ITCH FREE and CLEAN? I don’t give two fucks about others opinion as long as I’m comfortable with my own. And with that said, I know I can hold off on the washing part, but still would like to know what Shampoo to use for my scalp for good hair to be grown. I would also like to share that I would LOVE to keep em clean at ALL costs and there for be sure I have clean hair. Please share back with me what you can to help out Brotha. Oh and also, I’m barely growing out my hair and it’s at stage 1 for now so I have a long waiting game, but would love to know what I’m looking at if I’m going to stick with it this time around , thanks!!
