100% agree. I do this since decades and it is for me the basis. Reason why improvisation was hard when I started jazz 20 years ago. I didn't hear altered scales or other specific jazz languages. Now it is in my ears then in my play. For the fun stuff, actual film music is often a list of chords with computer power. When you ear it, that sounds great, but at the end of the film, you don't remember anything 😂. For me it is bad music.. Thanks for.the analysis
