I’ve just been playing what felt fun to me. I’m running in torment right after 60 and it still feels great to play. Spiritborn are more fun to play than I expected.

I like the suggestion. Been playing since launch and never thought to look up skills like that. I just follow build guides because the paragon is not something I like theory crafting. But now, maybe I will.

I have been sitting on the VOH expansion for several months. I usually play a Rogue or Necromancer but really wanted to try the Spiritborn. So I am playing the Spiritborn but instead of starting with VOH, I started with the main campaign so I could get a really good feel for the Spiritborn class. I also have really sh-tty internet right now that drops a lot so I am not able to knock things out as fast as I did last season. I live in the country so we are on DSL but we ordered Starlink so that should be way better once we get it installed in the next couple of weeks. I am excited to have the fast internet speeds because it will be at least 5 times faster than what we have now. I am a slow player and like to savor the game and I think a lot of people that complain about certain aspects aren't playing to enjoy the game. I have played this series for close to 25 years. I started with Diablo 2 in 2000. I have enjoyed every single one of them. I play for enjoyment and the games have helped with my anxiety and panic attacks because it distracts me.

​@@OwnModeGaming a not so common build thats not game breaking and both fun with aoe and single target is eagle primary, gorilla secondary. New ebenwok helmet rod of kepeleke and touch of death speced to core. Something ive cooked up but only 2 items ga'd 4 items at +4 and nothing else and ive recently cleared getting into t3. I love the combination of centepede to eagle to gorilla.

I had a min Max theorycrafted build I threw together before launch, but then I got the aspect that allows gorilla skills add a percentage of armor to weapon damage up to 1500. I then got the juggernaut aspect and decided to scrap my initial build to try a gorilla thorns build that stacks armor. Works extremely well so far. It made the class extremely tanky. Grab something and run with it to learn. You'll definitely be surprised by this approach.

I'm not too far in (I'm only around lvl 45'ish but I haven't really experienced any points where I was in danger. If someone is having survivability issues, then make your primary Gorilla. Even if it isn't what you aren't planning on with your endgame build, having an almost constant barrier means that as long as you're paying the smallest amount of attention, you literally can't die. Getting the Gorilla Defensive (I think that it's called Armored Hide) gives you a Passive regen on a buff that gives you DR.

At least for leveling the aspect, changes armor into attack is absolutely a must. There's almost nothing that adds more damage, then that aspect.

there is a Unique Helm that gives at max 30% per animal skill tag so if you are using say quill volley you should set your main and secondary spirit to like gorilla and jaguar and it will tag quill volley as all three spirits and give you massive multiplicative damage boost, the spirit circle aspect also make you think about what to set your spirits to

You are absolutely correct about the "squishiness" of the Spiritborn. In fact, as a veteran since Diablo 1 in 1996, Spiritborn has been the most surprising new class with its weaknesses as I expected it to be a lot more robust. As you said, adding a little Gorilla is absolutely key as the one-shots (particularly with poison-imbued enemies) are particularly bad with this class. Fantastic video on such new content - thank you so much!

Level 24 SB couple of scrubs here! ;) Wish we could have skipped the campaign later, as I think there are just too many modes/options with the season shoe-horned in with the exp. We're doing centi/poison mostly, so not sure how we fit Kong into the mix. We use: basic, core, devourer ult, soar & rushing claw for mobility & toxic skin (which the Mrs loves for the look eh). Should we be using something other than toxic, say ravager, which most other build guides seem to like, or one of the gorilla defensives...?

That early I would just lean into any aspects you get and play around with all the skills, just test it and see if you like it. The centipede/poison builds I think are going to turn out really solid in endgame. Though, If you need any defense the gorilla defense skill Armored Hide is awesome and I do like ravager for the boost and the added momentum. It feels good.

I'm level i guess 130 with the new system 60 normal and 70 paragon levels and mine is not squishy at all. I'm clearing screens in seconds and be rite in the middle of a mob of enemy's and not lose a single HP. I have a bad feeling they will nerf this class in some areas. I love this new class. It's like the rogue but way better.

Honestly, difficulty is kind of subjective. If I grind normal story for the fastest and easiest leveling as a season player, i can get my build fine tuned better than go into higher difficulties. Not only will I be higher level with more stats but those stats will matter. If you follow build planners and just go with the flow of difficulty instead of forcing pushes to higher difficulties, you'll likely enjoy your game and not constantly feel like you're struggling.

1. Agree about class quest asap. 2. Get mercenaries asap. 3. Main quest is bear early game exp. Massive jumps. 4. Do all the quests in the new land for the reward. 4 extra skill points. 5. Save your material until higher torments. No need to use early in game.
