What this man said reflects his mindset. Everybody`s neighbour has its problem and every country has its fair share of problem. This is true for UK, USA, China and of course India. In the eyes of your neighbours, you are not behaving. The problem of India is paying too much attention to the problem of other nations and neglecting it's own.
@Bhoetuk6 ай бұрын
@harryzhang you wumao, listen carefully what this is saying. China‘s real border is the great wall of China, beyond this land mass are occupied lands. With the occupation of Tibet in 1950 by the Chinese has Indo Tibet border was disturbed and India is today standing up to the ruthless encroachment and nibbling of Indian territories on the Himalayas. India will never neglect the Indo-Tibet border.
@LongJohnSilver-es6hj6 ай бұрын
China literally has disputes with countries it doesn't even share a land border with. China has a history of unilaterally declaring any place it wants it's own territory and expecting others to comply. Phillipines, Vietnam, even Russia are not spared it's belligerence. Everybody already knows of it's disputes with Taiwan and Japan. China doesn't have good relations with any country at all, even Russia doesn't consider China an ally but a necessary evil to stave off their own demise, their declassified military plans quite literally describe situations in which they would nuke China in case of a war breaking out, which is why they have nuclear facilities on the Russia China border. On what basis does China claim Arunachal Pradesh? Even their illegal claims to Tibet are hollow and superficial, these days they dont even bother justifying it they just wave it away claiming they brought development and prosperity to Tibet so they are entitled to it, as if that justifies destroying a country's autonomy. China must look to itself and reflect on why it is one of the most hated countries in the world, India is not unfamiliar with Western propaganda but when it's not only the West but East, South East, South as well that are complaining of Chinese conduct perhaps it's not all propaganda at all.

I'm actually very pessimistic about India. Indians are way too involved in internal matters. Indian society is way too fragmented with divisions along caste, religion and regional basis. India still follows the legal system and the education system left behind by the British. This creates a population of doctors and engineers that cannot think out of the box. Alongside this, it creates a lot of distrust in government procedures. To make everything worse, India's tax system is oppressive. Usually when one pays taxes, they expect some benefits in return. In India there is no incentive for paying taxes, which aren't even modest. 30% of one's income is lost in the form of taxes I believe. And it doesn't end there. What's causing my pessimism is that all of these problems have been persistent in India since independence. We had 70+ years and yet we haven't fixed our most basic issues. And looking at the ongoing politics, it doesn't leave much hope that these issues will be fixed anytime soon.

Abhijit, the global power index is a good idea to set narrative of what Indians think about other nations… As draft version it looks good. My two cents . 1. Add another parameter global perceived power ( what general public and media considers as level of power held by nations) - this involves having a powerful global English or French media machinery which sets narratives and plays along with respective nations geopolitical goals. 2. Use percentage weightage instead of whole numbers which will skew the final score. Example - military superpower : America - 100% instead of 2 or 1/ Russia - 80% instead of 1 or 2/china - 40% / France 30% /india - 20% / rest of the nations . Similarly economy - USA 100% China 60% - India 30% and so on. This way you are providing a relative weightage based on comparison between rank 1 and rank 2 couhhtries and so on.

I don’t know your nationality but if you really know China a problems, they are at the same place as Japan of peak of economic success but one difference is that chinas growth is linked to its dream of silk route times where China was economically dominating world and communist party that repels intelligent people… from this point China cannot sustain its per capita GDP growth because of being such a big population compared to Japan , because communist model caps the potential of innovation at a certain level below true potential because of Individual freedom ( example elon musk vs jack ma) , chinas immigration policy that does not want foreign nationals to come and dominate their political space like in western world which brings diversity of ideas , population growth slowing down leading to end of demographic dividend and finally fatigue hits any nation when it is in a relentless world domination quest like Japan s suicidal rates being high and marriages are no more considered necessary…. All these will happen to India also but not in next 100 years because India will grow slowly when it comes to per capita gdp and India gets immigration from surrounding poorer nations every year who are ready to close gap for young people needed for maintaining demographics… even foreigners from Europe are settling in India…

👍. Just amazed at your realistic analysis of the existing situation on both sides of our northern international border. There is no point in bragging about our economic and military power. Indeed it's on the rise. But there are still millions of Indian families who confront hunger day in and day out. We have a mighty defence force to guard our borders and secure our assets elsewhere. But in terms of both quantity and quality, those are no match for the belligerent Chinese dragon across the border. Besides, the democratic polity that we have dreamt of since the onset of the freedom struggle permits a constant power struggle among the political parties-- often at the cost of a unified national spirit for some short-term electoral gain, negating even a solid defensive posturing against known enemy countries. Our love for democratic government should not make us blind to its possible ramifications. We must try to contain the Chinese more through a set of visible maneuvering of our diplomatic prowess and an overt determination to defend our interests rather than actually challenge the Chinese in open war. We are neither Russia nor Ukraine( fighting primarily with foreign funds and war machines) - we can hardly afford to carry on war against the mighty Chinese for months. The country's ruling dispensation at any point in time should not fall prey to the chorus of charges by the political opponents confirming losing a sizable chunk of land to the advancing Chinese army; even though the latter's narrative may not be entirely false. We must buy time to ensure the continuation of an uninterrupted growth trajectory in all necessary spheres. In all probability, as and when India reaches such a stage -- which is achievable over the next two decades-- there would be no need to worry about the RED eyes of our muscles-flexing northern neighbour on daily basis.

India should economically handicap china by producing better and cheap replacement to chinese goods to the world. + govt should tell traders to not buy chinese goods in india. Just like korea does. Be self sustainable and export more

China is the biggest trade partner of 130 countries in the world. Isolationism is never an idea. India should work hard to sell more to China with competitive products and services.

you mentioned the key point, if Tibet is part of China, India will never rise. So the fact is not important, but the interest is.

Is increasing GDP really economic growth? What is NDP, Net Domestic Product? Amer-Euro economists do not talk about the depreciation of durable consumer goods or planned obsolescence. Only the Depreciation of Capital Goods, like industrial robots and 18-wheel trucks, is subtracted from GDP to get NDP. There were 200,000,000 motor vehicles in the US in 1994. Where did the depreciation go? Are consumers supposed to be dumber than economists?

8:30 I subscribe to Our Country, Our Choice which has a Colonel MacGregor usually speaking. American military with many knowledgeable friends; I heard him say the other day, in the Navy, they say there are two kinds of ships, submarines ... and targets. [Never in public.] The Chinese are building a lot of targets in the age of energy weapons. And you don't even need those, a fast smart missile to the bow. Anyway, my two thoughts on ships. If you're going to build anything, build submarines to threaten their shipping. Would China starve if cut off from outside food sources?

Great video. One of the big issues holding back India is corruption IMO. This ensures that only a percentage of each rupee spent towards development actually serves to develop. The rest goes into someone's pocket. The other issue is that we should never reach a point where we consider any single leader to be irreplaceable. Nor should any leader consider themselves to be the savior of the nation and irreplaceable (one of the big issues plaguing China and Russia today). That leads to stagnation. The Dune novels are an excellent story depicting this phenomenon.

India & China are wise enough to manage any disputes among them, and never fall into negative influences of certain ill-advised &@ ill- intention nations, especially from the western nations, Asia nations should umite, work & progress together.

What India should focus on is its infrastructure, which is very backward. For many decades, China has been spending trillions of dollars on building its network of high-speed rail, factories, buildings, houses, healthcare, education, green energy, space station...then only recently, its military powers.
India must seek cordial ties with Pakistan setting aside all the past conflicts and present territorial disputes this will be beneficial for india and Pakistan as well from PAKISTAN ✅

Let me get it straight, the possibility of China attacking India is based off "online... codescending/disrespectful attitude... overall disrespect".
