You made some really great points. While in school I was overwhelmed by all of the services we learned and how I would incorporate them into my business & service menu. There are so many things im just not interested in doing, lashes and intimate waxing just to name a couple. Watching you has definitely empowered me to do WHAT I FEEL comfortable doing, but most importantly only doing WHAT I WANT to do.

I agree!! I was also overwhelmed in school, I caught onto a bunch of different things except massage - I just don't feel comfortable doing that. Also, because I'm not a licensed massage therapist so no need to perform massage.

Thank you !! The great thing about our profession is scope and the option to choose (if you’re independent) style, product, technique and services! I do a quick neck and shoulder massage right after the mask application. It’s easy to move into and my clients usually doze off. I have several clients that are hair stylists, and I will add a hand massage for them as a thank you service for their referrals! Don’t mess with scalp, feet or legs. I used to right out of school, but it was overkill. Love your content and appreciate your time for us! 💕

This was such a great video. I was really excited to hear what you had to say, and agree 100% with what you decided to discuss. One of my favorite parts of our career is the fact that we have so much flexibility with treatments; it’s what sets us all apart, and gives us that unique touch we each possess. ❤️❤️Keep up there killer work.

I have a facial list that are more basic and include massage, then I have corrective... that wham bam thank you ma'am service. I don't like the gauze over the face either, so I wrap or tie a 4x4 over the probe! The problem is people judge other esthetician based off their previous experiences.

Loved this video 😍 straight like that 👏🏼 thank you for sharing your perspectives! Honestly alleviates a lot of the pressure because I currently perform the massage during mask but would love not to when I’m on my own! Lol. Also I only want to wax face arms and underarms. Heard you when you mentioned women of color and not wanting you to touch their hair because ain’t that the truth 👏🏼👏🏼😂 and the point about specializing and choosing a few services to be good at and invest in. Great advice and love how you consistently post 💕

Girl you make me soooo excited to start school! I don't understand why people don't get that they teach enough to pass boards, and all skin isn't the same. Thank you for making common sense common again! Everyone's work is different and beautiful 😍! Thanks Lia.

You made a great point. Some services aren’t even in our scope of practice cause I tell you you’ll come across the craziest things and social media is such a contributing factor. Like i’ve seen hydro jelly masks on titties?? 😭 meanwhile we’re only meant to perform facial services from the décolleté up
@LiaLeigh
@LiaLeigh 2 жыл бұрын
lolll I'm weak I wish we had emojis up here from the computer. I will say depending on what area of the skin needs help facials are performed on several areas of the body, face, décolleté, back facials and vagacials which are extremely popular.
