SaltMarin _ Every level up you get a new one for free and you have to use war bonds to unlock the chest plate with your medals and use warbonds to buy diffrent color linings of the new uniform and to customize the main color of the uniform.with in reasonable colors of course. diffrent caps for diffrent lvl officers as well as if the more medals you earn you get skin unlocks that make you look older so you look seasoned and like a veteran of war!!!!!

With the warbonds you earn each level you get EXACTLY enough to unlock everything.. you stop getting warbonds past lvl70 or something.. So it is there for a reason..

Agreed. I wish BF1 had more weapons to begin with, but it seems that DICE tried to make the ranking last long with each class to give the illusion to there being a lot of things to unlock or achieve. And the ranking up itself isn't even well thought at, from around ranks I think 6-10 there is no unlocks which gets repetitive and boring.

1. Battlefield 1 needs "Vulkan" that will get rid of the cpu bottlenecking issues that community has. 2. Bombers shouldn't be allowed to get spawns in the pilot seat if in case the pilot switched over to the backseat because there wasn't a gunner there to protect it. What happens is that you switch to the backseat to take out the attack planes and a random(non pilot) spawns and takes control of the Bomber either he crashes it or has no ability to repair the plane. 3. Make the other shotguns worthy. Other than the Model 10 the other shotguns are just as useless as the lmgs in game. 4. Allow recons to have some anti vehicle ammunition. Mines would be great and would allow recons to sneak up as they would in their role lay the mine and wait for the kill. 5. Add a Ammo resupply or station at the base because bfh you could take ammo from an ignorant support player. i had to beat up my teammate 50 times asking for ammo with commands and in chat but he still refuses to drop ammo even after seeing a big need ammo symbol on my head. Either bring back the hardline way or add a restock station at base.

Yeah they add 20 weapons in dlc that would probably mean 5 new guns per class each (1 gun per Class, except one class that gets once +1 extra gun per dlc.). They could probably add 20+ weapons more for free, maybe the Shocktrooper and Support fall Short with a high amount of new guns, but there are many guns for Medic and Sniper for this game. I hope they add many for free.

I have a couple of things that DICE should add/tweak in the game: 1) Add Operations in the server browser, is a pain in the ass (in console, dont know about PC status) when you search Operations sometimes just throw you in a empty server or with other two people and have to wait for two hours or more. 2)Battlepacks avaible to buy them with in game currency maybe Warbonds or Scraps awarded to the player for be in the end round screen highlights. 3)Use a more interactive version of the end game highlights screen, instead of showing the avatars of the PSN, XBOX live and Origin why not use the soldier from the squad selection screen showing the guns with the skins that you have? and under them the award that you earned like most flags defended/attacked, most revives/healing/resupplies etc. 4)Give more Skins to the weapons, so far I see that there's three branch of skins: those with Royal something, Veteran something and Camouflage something, DICE just unlock the weapons with one and you cannot have the other branch of skins. Example: The Hellriegel have the Veteran branch, so you cannot have a royal or camouflage version, it means you cant have a golden or green with grass details in the Legendary versions of the Hellriegel. How about lighting up the enemy fire on the bloody mini map again so where not running around for most of the round looking for a fight? Where's the scroll kill screen top left hand corner like in bf4 ? Where's items like medical packs ammo boxes on Mini map, Mini map feels useless. My 2 cents!

+Wife Hates Game Mini map now gives less info: no lighting up enemies when they shoot, means you need to use map knowledge and audio to win. Kill feed is simply turned off, you can turn that on in the gameplay options. You can also turn all the gadget icons in the options 😀

Wife Hates Game bf is a very team orientated game and everyone needs to play their role scouts have flare's which highlight enemies on the mini map and snipers are pretty easy to spot because they shine when aiming down sight.

They should add a new game mode which is 5 V 5 which match makes you with similar skill level players and makes sure all 4 classes are played by the people in the squad. So there is minimum one Assault, Support, Scout & Medic. Then it is basically operations but on smaller and modified maps. That would be really good for competitive games and possibly DICE can make a competitive mode like CSGO has.

My suggestion: Remove the weapon variants and bring back weapon customization. With the way customization worked in BF3 and BF4, you could have over a dozen 'variants' for each weapon depending on how you customized the barrel, stock, sight, under-barrel, receiver, grip, etc. This is important because this really helped with the feeling of progression as it made me want to play more with each weapon to unlock all the different ways I could modify, experiment, and play with that weapon.

This is a game that is successful because the developers chose balance/possibilities/gameplay over realism in many of its aspects. And so I think that expanding the variety, experimental, and progression aspects of the game adds a lot more value to it than a little historical correctness does.

Realistic or not, its a huge pain in the ass being gased all the freaking time. Reduce it to two per soldier, the range at which it effects you and increase the time at which you get a new one from ammo boxes.

Here's a suggestion: Shooting from ladders. How many times have you climbed up a ladder thinking the roof was clear or trying to get a drop on a camper only to end up with a bullet to the head because some guy with an mp18 was just waiting for some poor sap to use the ladder? It would be a lot of help if I could equip a sidearm like I could when I'm swimming. To balance this feature out there should be a penalty to climbing speed since you only have one hand on the ladder and the accuracy of your shots would fall dramatically after each shot since you only have one hand to hold the gun to prevent trolls from staying put at the top of the ladder and using a mars or a revolver to try to snipe somebody. Additionally, you won't be able to reload since you only have one hand available.

Got to be honest, Battlefield 3 was the best battlefield game. Other than no 64 player console gameplay (yeah I'm a peasant) it has no flaws I can think of. I thing BF1 has great gameplay and setting, but they're are just so few weapons and attachments. I know it WW1 but they could add a few more weapons. + The UI is appalling bad and as you said the medal system is terrible.

Westie, everything you said is so, so true. Honestly, since I started playing BF1 I stopped caring for all the additional stuff I liked in the previous games, like camos, battlepacks, skill stats, K/D, in fact all the stats since they are hidden somewhere in the menu, also I don't care anymore for the medals. Everything that I liked in BF 3 & 4 is gone. But, what I miss the most is the web browser menu, I used to watch all the stuff in there, all my stats, other player’s profiles, I spent hours in making my own unique emblems, look at all the camos and think what’s the best one. Now I have the feeling like none of that matters anymore and I'm sad and disappointed about it. And the saddest thing about it is that it's not a bug like the problem with my CPU which is constantly at 100% for no reason while playing, that’s a bug and I know it is going to be fixed at some point, no, all these things are intentionally made like this, and they are not going to be changed, not in BF1 at least, maybe in the next game.

Dear Westie, I believe that we can confirm vehicle skins coming to a future revision of battlepacks because I was looking at the weapon skins screen, and there was an option in the bottom under the different types of weapons titled "ID_CAT_VEHICLE_SKINS" I think that this is a bug that shows that in a future update or DLC, they will be available and since it has since been removed from the menu, that it is certainly a bug that wasn't supposed to give away that information.

I COMPLETELY AGREE! I literally spent as much time on BF4's Test Server as i did in game. Every time i got on i would warm up my shot on the Test Server using the moving targets (which, if they ever do create a Test Server Environment for BF1 - i can not stress enough how important it is to add MOVONG targets like the BF4 Test Server Environment had); because the moving targets allowed me to quickly adjust to the muzzle velocity of new sniper rifles allowing me to easily figure out how far ahead of targets i needed to aim to hit moving targets at different ranges - at different speeds as some of the targets moved relatively slow at a walking pace while the others moved faster at a running pace. This is another problem with joining an empty server on BF1 to do things. There's no targets much less MOVING targets. So while it allows you to test settings and recoil (shooting walls to get used to the recoil/spread of different guns). Although you CAN set up the fake decoy targets with the test class on empty servers and then back away to figure out how far above them you need to aim to shoot enemies at various ranges with various weapons - particularly scout rifles. But yea, i PRAY that they add a Test Server Environment that would literally MAKE this game for me i can not put in to words how much i would love and appreciate a test server. It would be easy to make - just take one of the maps, reduce the size to TDM map size or perhaps slightly larger, and then just add a wall with moving targets that drop when hit like the ones on the BF4 Test Server Environment.

They should bring back some of the Bad company 2 player perks since this game is lacking in customization, sprint boost, longer bayonet charge, take less damage from explosives, body armor that slows you down a little bit, less fall damage, automatic spot when you hit a enemy. slightly faster reload not like COD fast but just a fraction quicker, recover from a bayonet sprint quicker. maybe even a perk called 1 in the chamber, if you know about guns you can chamber a road eject the mag top it off and reload it, effectively giving your 8 round 1911 9 rounds to fire but obviously this would only work once after every spawn because it would take too long to animate.

Add more gadgets ie: Support could lay down barbed wire on the ground that would slow enemies that run over it and allowing them to set up be ready for easier kills. Medics could get a Morphine shot that allows you to take 50% damage reduction for at least 10 seconds with 2-3 shots per spawn. Medics could also get a Bone Saw that would revive the unrevivable with a syringe(including elite classes also add elite secondarys), but it would be an amputation so the amputee loses an arm and can only use a sidearm after that. Scouts could carry a Trench Shovel and dig a small fox hole big enough for 2 people to crouch in and still see out. Assault could have a weaker version of the Cavalry Armor called Trench Armor, gives a passive damage reduction/health boost. Also Holy Shit I love this game. More Customization!!!!!

I think it would be good to see trench warfare with commanders for each sector of the front lines etc and each player that goes out into no mans land during trench warfare, a medic would be chose by a commander to stay within close proximity with that player. Also I think wearing medals would look quite cool as a way to show your progression, maybe a maximum of 6-7 medals on your chest and you choose what ones to wear?

Theres a difference between WW1 & having an enjoyable videogame session. There's simply too much gas in the game. Much like there are too many machine guns but having it be all bolt actions would be slow and plodding, much like WW1. It will take 2 years to balance this game like DICE does with all of their games. And no one will be happy with all of it.

I agree with you hole heartedly Westie on everything that you talked about. Another KZbinr that I watch called LevelCapGaming was talking about a lot of the things you have mentioned in one of his vids recently so you are not alone in your sentiments. This is a brilliant but none the less still slightly faulty game in some aspects and it is potentially open to so many levels of improvement and verious levels of customization. Soldier appearance customization is probably the best thing you talked about. Ever since Battlefront, I've been craving this in Battlefield. I know it's insignificant when it comes to the gameplay but just knowing you're a soldier you've created would add a sense of progression and uniqueness that isn't in the game at the moment. I agree with the medal/armory room, that's a cool idea and I would like to see some soldier customisation as long as it didn't stop the game from looking authentic. My main problem at the moment though is the battle packs. I played for 8 hours straight last night and only got one. They could really incentivize playing the objective if that greatly increased your chance of getting a pack at the end of the round.

Agree with you on the last point. Look at the game "Warface". They distinguished the 4 classes really good but still having cosmetic customization. The players look unique, but you can still determine whether he's an engineer or not. For example: The medics wear hoodies, but you can equip different styles of hoodies.

The player customization idea is brilliant. Imagine netted helmets, or even helmets with cloth over them with the unit sign on them. Different backpacks, like one with a shovel strapped to it, or even a food jar hanging of it. There can be different colors for boots as well. The German helmets should be a choice between the Pickelhaube (spiked helmet) and the late war 1916-1918 helmet with or without a net (many late war German helmets were camouflaged). Different holsters for sidearms, ammo around the support player's body or just the different types of uniforms, like an British African theater uniform that's tan in color.

A feature I've always wanted is a feature that told a soldier that a squadmate was trying to spawn on them, so that the soldier doesn't charge into enemy fire and the squadmate doesn't have to spawn elsewhere. This can also help to tell players to wait before running into enemy fire, because they'll have reinforcements soon.

I agree with your thoughts on the metal system. I have been having to use rife grenades in the medic class. This has made me sit back from most of the action where i cant heal teammates and be useful to my team. Having to get rifle grenade kills in order to progress in a metal has made it so the player cant help his team as much.

squad death match is a must. ability to spawn with a squadmate simultaneously on a spawn point. id like to be able to click a button on a squadmate in my spawn screen that allows me to spawn "with" them. meaning if my friend spawns in a plane/tank/etc I want to immediately be able to spawn with him (if seats are available at that second)
