Malaysia has 9 monarchs from different states, which were originally a country of its own before invaded by Portuguese, Netherlands and lastly British. During British colonialism, all the countries in Tanah Melayu (or Malaya) were combined as Federations States of Malaya. All rulers agreed to the suggestion as long as they are still head of the state. The rest is history. The states of Johor and Perak were established by the 2 princes of the last Melaka sultanate after conquered by Portuguese .

Down to earth.Sultan of Johore. Johoreans love him dearly. He really looks to the needs of oku & those who are unable to speak for themselves. Be careful, his Regent, people do see him around. Dressed in normal clothing & goes on heavy bikes just to check on the citizens of Johore. Unlike Prince Harry who demands security the Regent, moves amongst us in the crowd in JB. 2level officers in Gov. Service, beware. He watches & keeps a close watch on his subjects in Johore. I am so lucky & ever grateful to have them as my Sultan & Sultana. Always remember them in our weekly public prayer service. Keep praying for JB. Thank You.
