I just got a 3RS Awd and I love it!!, My biggest issue is the Dash reflecting on the window Other wise the car is great
@Eventurefamily2 ай бұрын
Yeah, as I said, even with these little nitpicks I still love it and am very satisfied. Even the glare which is pretty bad, is something I can live with since I wear sunglasses all the time anyway. Does the 3RS have memory seat positions and are they automatic based on the key?

I got a dashmat. Someone was selling them on the Equinox EV forums. It helps a ton for very little money. I believe it was $30.

If you want to roll down all of your windows before you enter your car you can press the unlock on your key fob once then press again and hold down. This will roll all of your windows down. Unfortunately I don't know if there is a way to remotely roll them all back up.

The auto up is a safety feature. I have a friend whose young daughter died after getting her neck caught in an auto up window.
@jasonl64632 ай бұрын
@FredSEd-x9d that's what I thought but I know some cars allow remote window functionality, for better or worse.
@Eventurefamily2 ай бұрын
Oh that's a great tip. I will definitely use that in the future to vent the car on warm days. I still wish you could do it from the app reliably though as many times I'm coming out of a store or off of the train and would like to have a few minutes of venting.

The United States does not allow windows to automatically go up from my understanding.

@@Eventurefamily Get a Honda, they not only have auto down, they STOP going down when you want them to instead of going ALL the way down. That way you can leave all 4 windows just an inch or two down. And you can sort-of auto up all 4 by putting the key in the door and locking it then holding it and they all roll up.

You can turn the car on by pressing the brake pedal after you open the door, right?

@LakeLake123 Hmm I have the Blazer EV RS AWD and the windows don't work for me unless the car is "on". Do you have the 2025 model? Mine is a 2024 so maybe that got added for 2025. I've looked in almost every setting and I can't find where this can be changed. I did disable "buckle to drive" feature because I found it super annoying to have to put my seat belt on if I just wanted to pull my vehicle in garage or if I needed to just move the car real quick. But can't find any settings to allow windows or other functions to work when the car isn't on.

Just took a road trip from Orlando FL to Winnebago , IL. Leg 1 was to Nashville and leg 2 was to Winnebago. The only issue we had was the farther north we got the colder it and it decreased are range and ate our battery % faster than the first leg in warmer weather.

The problem is legacy automakers trying to copy Tesla and Rivian tech and their base of traditional drivers (me) isn’t really interested in it. I have a Bolt EUV and it’s great so I was closely following the Equinox. Aside from more space and faster charging, the Equinox felt like a step backward with frustrating tech I did not want or ask for. Losing CarPlay adds complexity and frustration that just didn’t need to be there. A family your size would need go to Equinox, but we are small so I’m staying with the Bolt.

Regarding the seat vibrate alert feature being over sensitive, Are you saying it vibrates to alert you to oncoming traffic when you are waiting to make a left turn at a busy intersection? That would drive me crazy.
@Eventurefamily21 күн бұрын
To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what it's vibrating for as it does it often. It definitely does it for rear cross traffic alerts when backing up, blind spot warning when merging, but then it also buzzes me sometimes when I'm turning right and sitting stopped at a red light. I can't tell if it's overly sensitive or if it's warning me about traffic coming. It's infrequent enough that it doesn't drive me crazy, but enough that I wish they would improve it.

That's a great suggestion to make it more usable. Alternatively, they could give an option to decrease the distance you have to stand from the trunk, but a time increase is probably easier to implement and would work just as well.

Yeah, I know that they are options, my point was more that they are in slightly odd positions that I just haven't become used to yet. I don't think it's a major issue and I'd much rather have multiple physical ways to change it than not, like many other vehicles.

Agreed - the Chevy App sucks!!! Most days, I am sitting around waiting nearly 5 minutes just to find it is unable to connect with the car. Then I get in the car, fire up the app - and WHALA!!! It connects...just so damn bad. And I agree about the front visibility. I use my 360 camera to park CONSTANTLY because the front of the car is just so damned bulbous. However, the drive is super smooth, and I love the way it looks inside and out (for the most part). I am leasing my 2024 2LT in the hopes the re-designed Bolt will be out before I have to turn it in 🙂
