The suspension is actually really simple and reliable only issues I have ever heard about them is the sway bar bushings and end links but if you get after market stuff its fine

suck it up, work on your car- if something isn't the way you want it- fix it, go aftermarket , make your ride -yours, i have spent too much in mine (05 sxt) But i love it and was too chicken to try it myself, until recently, i am fixing and updating based on my budget, (big factor , how much is too much??). Make a budget, make a plan , make it yours, do positive things, easier to impress when you overcome the things you don't like about something, when you make it unique- and give it your brand.-louder, brighter, faster- whatever works for you. Spot on. I have a 06 RT. Hate the electrical. Bought it in perfect condition and in 2 Mo tha my rear right turn signal won’t turn off. Stays lit like a headlight even with engine off. Rear night driveling lights won’t turn on either but brake lights work fine. Super dumb. But I love the engine and the way mine sounds with a full magnaflow system on it. Fairly quick for the weight and it’s use.

Good afternoon. What was the issue you had with your ECU communicating with TCM? I have a 06 Mag SRT8 and now she just dies while driving and turns back on. And some times stalls out. What was your fix? Thank you

Have you guys had your magnums throw the input shaft sensor code but sometimes no check engine light comes on but goes into cripple mode if so was it actual sensor in nag1 transmission or something in the ecm tcm BCM?

I can fix 3 major problems of that car. 1) Cigarette lighter. Solution: Buy a Cigarette lighter or match at 7/11. 2) Those vent screens. Tape it! 3) Those noise from suspension and dashboard. Buy ear plugs! Hahaha!

I just bought an 05 dodge Magnum sxt and I had to replace the whole shifting box because of the pink piece lmao. It was the only problem I had with it so far besides the back breaks being messed up from sitting but they still work. I previously had a 02 jeep grand cherokee with the 4.7 v8 and it felt like I was in ww2 driving that I even rolled it driving on ice. I already feel a lot safer in this car even though it's rear wheel drive and pretty quick but it's low and I like it. It's also cool

How is the mpg from RT to SXT? I had an 06 RT as much as i loved the car it was a piece of crap. Previous owner ran it down and it would stall everywhere randomly.... lightning bolt light. sad part is kms were just over 200,000 kms. I feel like it was burning a lot more fuel than my 2012 charger rt.... i think it was caused by some sort of issues though. I fixed a lot on it but decided it was time to part with it. Anyways i have an 05 SXT i plan on using as a secondary winter car. Hope it's better....

i think and wonder about the mpgs all the time. never done a test myself to see how mine is but im thinking about trying it this summer. and yea when they go wrong their pretty damn expensive and alot of people seem to be searching for gremlins that never show up in these cars lol

Damn I got a 07 sxt magnum and I actually don’t have any of these issues. Bought it from a dude who had it for 14 years and need a fuel injector on number 4 (most videos I’ve seen have something going on wit that one?) and I put a srt charger cluster in mine since i had the notorious fuel gauge issue, then new brakes and rotors up front since dude did some eBay drilled and slotted ones. Had life but warped. He also did eBay headlights and lowering springs which ass! But the springs aren’t actually that bad except on potholes or such since he but some actually nice 20s on it, gun metal and the car is silver looks great. These are like legos which is nice and I used it for working on other cars so tools and things and I guess maybe 07 didn’t have these issues as bad or maybe I don’t mind. My speakers kinda stuck lil static using aux but not bad. Like the cloth seats especially if it’s too hot or cold interior was well maintained. No leaks no no nothing. V6 not a lot of umpf but gets the job done

Mine only had essential maintenance done on the front end, before I bought my 05 3.5. I have bought all the parts needed and I am replacing them when I can make time or get them loose. Showtime is a killer

Get a awd no suspension issues, Get Corsa exhaust sounds amazing on the 5.7. I have no wiring issues at all. Sounds like you have a flood vehicle. I have 180k on mine. SXT's are cheaper models what do you expect for features to pop up after you bought it. Buy a high optioned rt or srt

I pulled up behind a charger rt with a corsa exhaust at mcdonalds and i emediatly bought some longtubes cause it drowned my slp1 catback out, the corsa did sound nice but i like deeper exhaust sound, so hopefully headers and an h pipe will do it for me, and id love to own an awd but i love drifting and burnouts a little to much but thats good to know that there suspension is good

I had an 05 SE and replaced it with an 06 RT. The SE has more features. If you want features, get that with the V6 instead of the V8. It isn't like the V8 sounds like a V8 or even drags like a V8 with the Mercedes transmission. I personally hate the Pentastar V6, so I was happy to dump the features and get the RT. I fixed the suspension problem with completely new front suspension. The stiffer the better. As for the electrics, what the hell did you guys do? I am nearing 100k miles on my RT and haven't had a single electrical issue. I suspect some dodgy mods. It is nice to see that some guys are still into the Magnums though. I will be selling mine this year because I don't keep cars once they hit 100k miles. I expect some teenager to be cruising in it next year.

@@rhurtadorh32 My 2005 SE came standard with the smart package, which includes bluetooth integration and onstar (or some similar service). The rearview mirror was an extension of the radio system, implementing the hands-free stuff. Also, the mirror was auto-dimming. The interior chrome was shiny, not just dull silverish paint. My 06 RT doesn't have anything smart at all. The radio only has an aux plug. The rearview mirror is the cheapest thing that Dodge could find. The shiny stuff inside is just dull silver paint. It is more gray than silver. But, it has a V8. All in all, I am much happier with the Hemi V8 than the pentastar V6.

Look under the plastic tray next to the shifter. There's a pink button or lever. It should move when you press the brake. If it doesn't, push down on it and you can shift. Some people remove it completely. I don't like that because you can turn off the engine and walk away from your car while it is in drive, which is begging for an accident.

I got an 05 magnum rt 240.000 plus my cigs lighter don't work,my front end clonks bad, everything is brand new under the hood,put new plugs, wires,new MSD street fire ignition coils,new water pump, battery,alternator,evap purge canister,all sensors under hood ,put Diablo 93 tune on it,deleted suitcase muffler ,my steering wheel stopped lighting up also so the airbag light is on new callipers all around and brakes ,bleeded the brakes all around,brake light is still on!Changed valve cover gaskets,put K&N air intake on it and it still runs like shit,spits and sputters when trying to go just the speed limit,+ everything that you bitched about, LOL it's fucked up huh?

Long as the tires are good, you're good! hydroplaning is always a possibility no matter what your in. I will say avoiding large puddles of water is best with the way the intake is setup on the Lx platforms

I’ve got the same but my sash light do flicker, same issue with the turn signal switch, and my rpm gauge doesn’t work. Everything else does! Heated seats, ice cold air, it also vibrates in the back when I make slow turns but I love this car especially for the $600 I paid

I think you just bought a shit beat up magnum bc I just bought 05 magnum well two of them the first one was rusted bad underneath and pretty much everything your complaining about it had like the turn single but that’s bout it brought it back to the dealer got my money back found another one in way better condition it was garage kept turn single works likes it’s post to no rust and the shit run like it was brand new also came with a cold air intake and it’s an 05 so next time you should prob look at the car before you by I learned from the first time and that was from the dealership

Can u make a video without the f bomb every few seconds ,I have a 2007 and had no issues, I believe some ppl just don't take care of there cars, cars break down and things don't last forever. I just Barely bought a new battery for it after all these years,and gave it a tuneup with new timing belt and plugs water pump because I hit 155 thousands miles nothing in my inside is broken I have a cover on my dash to keep the sun from damaging it. Oh yeah I'm 5/4 and I'm ok with my stering wheel, my car has were u can pull ur seat up or down and bring the gas and great puddle up for short ppl, great features, and heated seats. Mine is fully loaded so I'm happy, I'm buying a new car and keeping my magnum its been good to me.
